Canelo Alvarez vs. Paul Williams in September 2012

    This one was scheduled before Paul got into the motorcycle accident.

    It would have been an interesting fight. Williams was on the downside, but Canelo was still improving.

    Is Williams able to outwork Canelo, or do Canelo's better technical skills and defense make the difference?

    At that time, Canelo for sure.

    But I would take the Martinez version of Williams over Canelo.

    I think we should just analyze a prime for prime matchup. In 2012, Williams was past prime and Canelo was pre-prime.

    Prime for prime, I think it's s close one, but Canelo would definitely get the decision by landing the bigger shots.
