    I like both versions. The original is a more straightforward thriller and Robert Mitchum's physique was more menacing to good guy wimp looking Gregory Peck than DeNiro's 5' 10" to Nolte's 6' 1". Of course DeNiro's performance was more memorable and Juliet Lewis was hawt as the daughter seduced by Max Cady.
