"Chirizo" Gonzalez to face Edwin Valero?

Nicaraguan boxer Rene ¨Chirizo¨ Gonzalez might get the call to fight the current champion of the world of the 130 pounds of the WBA the Venezuelan, Edwin Valero.

FightBeat has learned that due to some unknown circumstances, Mexican Juan Carlos Salgado cannot fight with Valero in the December 15 bout in Cancun, Mexico.

yikes. I wasn't as down on Salgado as was Joony and a few others, but this guy is a significant step backwards.

The guy has serious weaknesses and does not know how to box, and is the most flawed "world champion" I have seen since Elisha Obed.

 

well he looked pretty damn good beating the fuck outta Mosquera when he won his alphabet title.

 

I could name numerous champions worse than valero. starting one division north of him there are two guys he'd beat.
