Does Duran win a fight with Hagler at 157?

Or one with Hearns at 150?

Heck, does he even bother to face those guys (they were so much bigger)?

    Duran could never beat Hagler.

Duran with a 16 foot ring would fuck with Ray Leonard and make him hold his penis.

Of course he could. He came close as a fat little lightweight in his late 30's, fighting at 160.

Come on man he never came close.

    Hagler controlled that fight.

I like Duran, I regard him as one of the true grates of are times, but.....I don't think he could ever beat Hagler.

He was always going to be a fat little lightweight, because, at 160, that's what lightweights are.

Duran was arguably ahead until he injured his head. He did very well against Hagler, it was a pretty close fight.

So just imagine it was a prime Duran, late 20's, he didn't injure his hand, and he demanded Haggles came down to 154.

One of my favorite fights ever to watch. Amazing to watch Duran cope as well as he did in the face of so many disadvantages. Awesome display of creativity and cleverness.

    Yup

Duran boxed great and was defensively on point in the match, but he clearly lost and every time Hagler stepped on the gas, he pushed Duran around

Also, I have a hard time imagining Duran being able to cope with Tommy, even at 150... just a terrible style matchup for him

But you do have to consider that a weight drained Hearns is going to be weaker and much more vulnerable.it's possible this could've tipped the tables depending the extent that Hearns is compromised.

It's possible, but to reverse the outcome of an annihilation like that a few pounds negotiated away isn't enough for me to make that leap.

Yeah... This is one of the most alarming, conclusive victories in a big fight ever... A lot of shit would have to go right for Duran and wrong for Tommy to make me envision a different result

Duran would retire undefeated for sure and Mayweather Jr would have ducked him.

Duran could CERTAINLY beat Hearns in a re-match seeing as Castillo could beat him

Duran would have JMM playing polka in Pittsburgh, shouting "Juan more time!"
