I always thought he was overrated anyway. But yeah he's gone now. His reflexes are no longer with him. He'd receive a real beating against any top guy now.
His hand speed was ridiculous, I gotta admit. But I feel he tried too hard to be like Roy and he just didn't have the ring IQ for that.

, the crawford fight has nothing to do with his decline. Boxing fans are such pansy nowadays that they think that everytime a fighter eats a few punches, he's ruined afterward. Lack of commitment is a much better reason for his decline
Id say inactivity and getting off the PEDs contributed to gamboa's decline. poor management from curtis jackson lead to his inactivity.
I remember during an investigation of some anti-aging clinic that was distributing PEDs in south Florida that Gamboa's name came up , along with a couple of baseball players. Wouldn't shock me if he was on something during that time.
