Ok. So list two fighters, both of whom are/were highly accomplished and of similar size (championships in multiple weight-classes, resumes that includes victories over highly regarded challengers and/or fellow champions).

For the first, list a fighter that satisfies the above criteria whose style you absolutely detest. This is a fighter whose accomplishments you find yourself barely able to acknowledge because his style of fighting you find so unappealing as to somehow disqualify his achievement.

For the second, list a fighter who satisfies not only the criteria above, but whose style you find absolultely compelling. He's a fighter whose fights you enjoy watching multiple times because his approach, whether deliberate or instinctive, powerful or speedy, is pleasing to you.

Not pit these fighters together. Who wins? Is there any doubt? How tough is it to pick against the guy whose style you hate? Can you? Would you? Is there even a case to be made for doing so?

    Amir Khan

    Nicollino Locche

Head to head? I'd lke to think Locche would win easily, but it's actually a tricky style match up for him. I don't entirely know.

I'll make another post later on but quickly reading through the criteria i'd have:

    Chavez
    Camacho

    (both Seniors obviously)

Fight already happened so no need to break it down.

When it comes to fights that have already happened, Ward vs. Kessler is a perfect example for me. Despite all of Ward's success, I simply can't appreciate him. His style is despicable. His fights are dirty messes. And his wins, though decisive, are never impressive. Having said that, he clearly deserved the nod over Kessler, whose style I find to be much more pleasing aethestically, and indicative of a higher degree of skill.

Are we talking established world champions or can current up and coming prospects be included?

It was not my intention to put any historical limits on the conversation. And alphabet titles likewise are not intended as criteria.

Basically, the guidlines are that both fighters be accomplished (whether through meaningful wins or titles that count for something), that the fighters be the same size, that one has a syle you can't stand, and that the other has a style you're a big fan of. The fighters need not be from the same time period. And then the exercise is to pick who would win if the two were to face eachother, with extra care taken to justify your answer, given that by your own admission you have a biased one way or the other. Why would you pick against a fighter whose style you love? Or similarly, can you convince us that your choice of the fighter whose style you like would actually win, and that it's not simply due to your personal preferences regarding styles?
