Really like Golovkin in this fight. I think he looked poor in his last fight due to the the style and skillset of Jacobs, not because Golovkin is losing a step. I don't see Canelo bringing the same kind of style, frame and skillset as Jacobs. I did think Golovkin still won the Jacobs fight too. I say Golovkin TKO11

    Depends on HOW Canelo Lost...

If he's DOMINATED, the Talk of Him "Ducking" Triple G for Years will Seem Validated...But a COMPETITIVE Loss Does Minimal Damage...We'll Have to Rightfully Wonder if Canelo Can WIN the 'Big One', but he'll Still Be YOUNG Enough to Place Himself into Position for Another MAJOR Fight, Eventually...

Canelo looks like he's been training with Jon Jones.

I heard that when he was a teenager, Golovkin went around with his older brothers - debt-collecting - and Gennady was there to ´bring the heat´ if needed....

Can anyone confirm or is it myth?

The funny thing about Gennady is he's so unscary looking. Looks like a little boy, with his cherub like face.

Yet he's the single scariest fighter in the ring imo. A true wolf in sheep's clothing.

That's very weird Murray said even Groves hits harder, hard to believe. To me, he doesn't seem anywhere NEAR as hard a puncher as Golovkin. GGG crushes guys with single punches and does it effortlessly.

Maybe that extra weight of 168b that Groves, DeGale, Froch, etc, fight at....is more than just 168lb, if you know what I mean...
    e.g. Benn was a wrecking-ball at 160...not so much at 168...

I wouldn't say he hits harder than GGG obviously, but Groves has always struck me as a pretty hurtful puncher.

GGG is a good puncher but he's no Hearns, Jackson or McClellan.

If Canelo's stamina holds up...he'll go the distance.

Golov's pressure will break Ginger moreso than the power will. Canelo wants to fight at his own pace. Golov won't afford him that luxury. Last two fights aside, Golov does a FAARRR better job at controlling the pace fights than Canelo does.

I can't wait for this fight. The styles clash is fascinating. Like I keep saying...I think Canelo will shine against a guy that pressures him constantly. We shall see.

I'm a huge GGG fan but I would like Canelo to win just to see what the fuck you have to say as an excuse.

If Canelo wins, I won't have an excuse unless Golov looks like a totally used up corpse out there, which is doubtful.

We've all established that Golov is a bit past it, but he's not washed up. So even in beating a slightly faded Golov, I'll give Ginger all his due credit with no excuses.

    Prepare to be disappointed though...

He can definitely punch with the big cross I agree, but Golovkin has freakish power. Effortless looking, and guys go down and have a look on their face like they had no idea what hit them.

I would actually include his previous two fights too. He certainly set the pace against Brook, busted his eye socket and stopped him. That was Gennady's fight and pace, and Brook was forced to defend himself and fight.

And against Jacobs he completely controlled the pace of the fight with his jab, applying steady pressure all the way through. Jacobs boxed well on the back foot and sometimes stood his ground and tagged Golovkin with good combos, but that was still Golovkin's fight.

I mean, I agree Gennady was way less aggressive than usual against Jacobs but I still think he controlled the fight.

I suppose there could be some truth to that. You would have thought people with real legit power like Benn (and GGG himself) one weightclass (or half a weightclass) would mean absolutely nothing, but I guess sometimes it really does.

Oh for sure, GGG can literally break your face, and we saw Stevens' reaction to the power. Just saying that Groves has recently acquired this weird reputation as a feather-fist when he clearly packs a bit of a wallop.

The pick is Golovkin. Both of these guys are candidates for most underrated p4p right now.

I'm going to say GGG starts off strong and wins 8 of the first 10 rounds. Canelo's strategy is to come on late, at least after GGG comes out quickly.
If Canelo is able to conserve energy early, he makes it interesting down the stretch. Unanimous for GGG.
