Will be a mega-smash, box-office-wise, but wont be as good as the first.

I loved the first film. I think with Infinity war pending, this sequel will be darker than the first. I expect it to be even better.

I think the first movie wasn´t too dark even though it touched on some darkness.
Its humor and characterization were the best points (imo, that is)

I loved the first one, but somehow I am not hyped by the sequel. I will watch it anyway as it is a MARVEL/DISNEY movie that will get glowing reviews and Rainmaker will hate all the love and success it gets!:Bad:

    Excellent! :bears:

But yeah, sequels, historically are never that good anyway. They usually go bigger-budget in order to make more money and hence, quality suffers.

Civil War delivered more than expected. The Best Marvel film so far. X-Men: Apocalypse was disappointing. I was expecting a better film.

I know I'm in the minority here but I actually think GOTG is overrated. Seriously, have you tried watching that whole thing from beginning to end since your first viewing? I for one can't do it. I love the characters and their chemistry but something about the story I just don't enjoy. I'm really not dying to see the sequel although I will once it comes out.

I watched it twice on its opening week, bought the blu-ray and watched it a few more times. This film has good re-watch value!

Guardians Of The Galaxy....for some reason is in my Top 10 movie list...but I can't figure out why.
Maybe a whole mix of the scenes, characters, story, humor, script and music all work for me

I think I've watched it 10+ rimes easy

Usual Marvel template with quirkier characters.

It's funny. I liked the movie a lot but it has no replay value at all. And I can usually mindlessly watch a good comic book movie over and over. I can't remember a single line or compelling action scene.

Watching it the first time it was like a wacky wonderful breath of fresh air, but your description is exactly how it felt rewatching it.

Great film. It's got everything. It's superheroes meets star wars. Great stuff.

There are not 'superheroes' in this film.

    Sure they are.

"Star Lord" has some Iron man-Esque gadgetry. If he's not a superhero than neither is Iron Man...and neither is batman.

the Green Whore is clearly superhuman....beyond Super Soldier level at the very least.

Drax seems to have strength on a Spiderman level.

Groot has equivalent powers to Mr Fantasic

Racoon is the only non superhero there.

Marvel has their formula and it works. But the movies are pretty forgettable. That is why i like the DC movies like Batman vs. Superman and Man of steel. They put more into it. Take more risk and the movies i think might remembered more in the long run. Batman vs. Superman was a pretty deep movie. And the three hour directors cut really does put a lot of the stuff in the theatrical version together nicely.

I liked BvS more than most people, thought it was better than what the critics suggested...but it had too many flaws...and didn't flow well. Nice and dark and I liked the premise and plot, but it wasn't executed well.

The reasons for Superman deciding to fight batman was silly: blackmailed by Luthor. Superman could have found his mother in a flash by speeding around the city using X ray vision. Even if he couldn't...that was a weak, lazy reason on the part of the writers. They could have done better. Also the end of the fight was weeeeeak; Superman says "Martha" which happened to be the mother of Wayne, and suddenly Wayne decides against killing him. Then all the flashbacks were excessive and honestly made little senses unles you knew about Darkseid. Also there was no explanation as to how Aquaman and Flash got their powers. You can't just explain that away by saying "metahumans".

Let's be honest man. I know you like to go against the grain when it comes to films, but be honest...too many flaws to consider it as good as a film like Captain America Civil war for example.

BvS wasn't a complete piece of shit, but still shit anyway. Watched it only once. Kinda of killed any desire to watch Justice League. I am more interested in that solo Wonder Woman than any Batman, Man of Steel or Justice League film.

Watch the directors cut. Everyone that i have spoken to that hated the original really liked the directors cut version.

I cannot go through that film a second time, not even if Steven Spielberg added some new scenes.
