Two powerhouse bands of the 1970s.
The two albums released in 1973.

    Zeppelin´s creative-limitations or The Stones´ overblown mysticism?

I can confidently state that, because I own both on vinyl, CD and MP3...and have listened intently to both over the years, now...Goat's shits in Houses.

It may be true that a goat would defecate in a house ... other than that, you're talking pish

Goats Head Soup offers the pleasures of the sound of the stones and plenty of good playing and groove but there's like three actually good songs on the whole fucking thing

This is just more of your "oooh look at me I'm so bloody clever... I love old good music but I'm going to shit on Led Zeppelin to be different because I'm a disingenuous cunt that's begging for his gob to be stomped to a pulp"

Three good songs off Goat´s is better than the two off of Houses though: No Quarter and The Rain Song.

I know what you´re going to say because all the dumb Zeppelinites say it too: diversity.
Fuck diversity - The Crunge and D´Yer Maker are fuckin feeble attempts at diversity. One sounds like Plant trying to do a Leon Russell impression, the other is just out-of-place.
I mean if it were Mick Jagger doing them, he´d get away with it.

As it is, Goat´s Head Soup contains four good tunes: 100 Years Ago, Angie, Winter and Star Fucker.
Come to think of it, this album isnt all that worse than Exile On Main St...and in some respects is better. After that lengthy roots-n-all stuff, they get back to proper experimenting. (Zeppelin flunkies take note: this is what a good rock band does when it experiments).
1973, and by this time the Stones are on auto-pilot and were putting solid stuff like this out for fun....

    Just shut up... fuck's sake

Coming Down Again, Angie ... that's it as far as great songs on Goats Head

On houses you're neglecting Dancing Days, The Ocean, Over The Hills, Song Remains The Same

I mean just fucking bleed out in a ditch already ... if you were in front of me, I'd run a chainsaw right through your skull

What's so great about those songs?
    1 - awful rhythm sound
    2 - good drums
    3 - pleasant enough
    4 - complex and pointless...and dull

The point is...if Zeppelin experimented on this album, what stopped them from experimenting further? They were obviously caught in a spontanenous groove while recording it, that's all.

    Why?
Because I've destroyed your (false) theory that Led Zeppelin were an effective unit in the music world anytime after mid-1973?

How? By giving some daft opinions you don't even genuinely believe while you post up videos of sleep-inducing, tuneless Deep Purple trash as if it somehow serves as an example of quality when it is in fact the opposite?

You're a try-hard cunt in need of a stomping... "where's that confounded bridge?" ... "oh you mean the one Magus's bleeding, unconscious and permanently disfigured body is under?"

Nah it'd be Captain and Me in 1973, which is vastly superior to Goat's Testicle Soup.

    China Grove > Angie
