I happen to think that, punch aside, Ginger is a better fighter than Jackson was. So the question is: can Canelo take Jackson's punch well enough and long enough to win a close decision? We don't have enough data yet to determine that and in the absence of sufficient data we have to pick the bigger and more powerful man (Jackson) by knockout.

There's nothing whatsoever to suggest Crapnelo is a better fighter than Jackson. Your only evidence and reasoning is him being a Floyd victim.

You think that's what it is eh? I think it's the other way around actually: I think that it's because he's a Floyd victim that you call him a bum.

I was calling the little spurt fighting Ginger overrated prior to the Floyd fight.

    Never called him a bum.

Based on what is he better than Jackson?

    Being a bigger mainstream name?

Jackson had underrated skills. He wasn't just a banger. He knew how to set up his punches and how to put them together.

Canelo is available to be hit... And the smaller guy.

Jackson at some point hits him with something he's never felt before and that would be that.

    I dunno PR.

I question whether Jackson could have defeated Angulo, Khan, washed up Cotto, and Liam Smith...

lol exactly. Even if Jacskon is in another stratosphere as a puncher than PBF, he surely wouldn't KO Canelo with these bullshit punches

Canelo's defense is only okay. He's not AS hittable as a Brandon Rios/Ruslan Provodnikov, but he's not some elusive target either.

Sometimes Sly talks about Canelo as if he's fuckin Niccolino Locche.

And it still moved Canelo's body.

Not saying Jackson KO's him with that very combo but I do think that enough of those types of combinations of punches from Jackson would sooner or later put Canelo in a world of trouble.

Let's not forget that Jackson was a legit 5'11 with a good reach. He'd definitely land on that Ginger midget.

don't get me wrong, I definitively pick Jackson to ko him. I only laught at the notion that these 2 bullshit punches would have any real effect on Canelo, even if they were thrown by jackson

Was rewatching Jackson VS Drayton. His punches sound like a baseball bat. Damn he was a flamethrower

What really made that KO epic was how he pointed down to the canvas the moment the left hook landed.

Jackson was a better fighter than Canelo and stops him. Canelo seems to have a pretty solid chin, but it's not like Jackson doesn't have the power to stop guys with good chins. He's one of the hardest hitters ever, and Canelo is no Mayweather defensively.
