Must have been done hundred times. I favor Holmes but I can't help thinking that Frazier's style would be poisonous for him
Great matchup. I enjoy discussing it no matter how many times its posted. It's a pick'em. Holmes is arguably better than the version of Ali that fought Frazier, but a young prime Holmes went life and death with an older post-Foreman Norton. We mustn't forget that. So it's likely that Holmes, who was similar to Ali in many ways stylistically, would have the same difficulty against certain styles as Ali had. Holmes could hurt Frazier...but here's the kicker: although Holmes punched a little harder than Ali, Ali had a slightly better chin. Frazier could hurt Holmes badly....worse than he hurt Ali. This fight would have been a classic, ebb and flow back and forth....pure heart on the line for 15 rounds. Split decision either way....
