Report: Felix Verdejo Questioned By Authorities Over Missing Woman In Puerto Rico

A chick is missing in PR, and Verdejo is a person of interest.

Most notable part of the article, "According to the investigation, the last known location for Rodriguez was at Verdejo’s home where she allegedly arrived with a pregnancy test in tow and to inform the boxer that he was the father."

Sounds like Verdejo might have whacked her.

 

This has to be some of the worst writing I've read for some time:-

Anyways, I hope the kid will be found alive and that Verdejo gets on with his career.

But we both know this is unlikely to be the case.

 

Verdejo's career is over anyway. The kid is nothing more than a stepping stone for prospects at this point.

Too soon to know the whole story, but if her last known location was in fact his house, and she showed up with a positive pregnancy test, there's a pretty good chance that something sinister happened.

 

The highest focus is always on the person who saw the victim last.

The person who killed a victim is usually the person who last saw them.

He's a fucking fool if he did it- a fool for not knowing he'd be immediately suspected, a fool for ruining three lives over a pregnancy.

 

I don't wanna completely pile on him yet.

First the chick has to be found dead. Or if she doesn't turn up for very long, presumed dead.

But it already sounds fishy for Verd.

 

I agree. But in my heart, if she showed up there last with a Blue Line..........and ain't been seen since...then...kind of running out of options here.

 

Apparently one of them was last seen boarding a flight to Japan. Dunno whether or not they meant the girl or Felix.

Just talked to a Rican chick I know who lives on the Island.

She's saying the car belongs to Verdejo's wife and was stashed at his house.

Both these fuckers (Verd and wife) were in on this, it appears.

 

She also told me that the family of Verdejo's wife are big crime figures in PR.

Officials ID body, say it's lover of Puerto Rican boxer

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — A 27-year-old woman whose body was found in a lagoon was the lover of Puerto Rican boxer Félix Verdejo, who has been questioned by police and whose car was seized overnight, authorities said Sunday.

No one has been arrested in the case, and Verdejo and his attorneys have declined comment. Police have said that Verdejo did not cooperate and refused to answer questions.

Puerto Rico’s Institute of Forensic Science said in a statement that Keishla Rodríguez was identified via dental records, and that officials are still analyzing Verdejo’s car.

Rodríguez’s family has said she was pregnant with Verdejo’s child. Keila Ortiz, the victim’s mother, told reporters that her daughter had called her before she vanished on Thursday and told her Verdejo was going to her house to see the results of a pregnancy test.

“I told her, be careful, because he had already threatened her'' and told her not to have the baby, mentioning his career and family, she said.

Verdejo is married but has known Rodríguez since middle school and had kept in touch with her, her parents said. They reported her missing after she never showed up to work at an animal grooming business.

Verdejo (27-2, 17 knockouts) is a former Olympian who represented Puerto Rico in 2012, the same year he became a professional boxer competing in the lightweight division. His career was temporarily sidetracked after a 2016 motorcycle accident that saw him hospitalized.
