In 2018 let's assume that Spence beats Thurman, and Crawford finally decides to leave 140.

The moment Crawford moves up, Spence-Crawford becomes the most compelling matchup to be made in the sport. The only other matchup that's equally compelling is Loma vs Mikey Garcia, but I have my doubts that matchup happens.

I'd rather see Garcia-Crawford, unlikely as it may be. I'm not buying Crawford as this p4p phenom. His best win at 135 was over a fw that he beat by being bigger and he hasn't done anything at 140 except beat a prospect that upset a contender. He gets hit clean a lot and I haven't seen anything from him or his opponents to make me think it won't be a factor at 147.

    Crawford-Garcia is a matchup I'd like to see but...Garcia ain't beating Crawford.

I'll go as far as to say that's a potential shutout.

Unlike Thurman, Crawford is actually a high class BOXER.

    Thurman can't really box.

Garcia has some of the slowest feet ever and has NOOOOO answer for angles. TC would box rings around him.

Terp, to be VERY FRANK with you... I'm not 100% sure Garcia would have beaten Felix Diaz. Not sure he would have beaten Postol either.

And if he did, it would have been a struggle.

As for this matchup, I'm a big fan of both, but I'm inclined to believe that Spence would be too strong for Crawford.

Terrance would have to make it a chessmatch to win, but that won't be easy since Crawford loves to FIGHT.

In a FIGHT, I have no doubt that Crawford won't get the better of it.

Certainly an intriguing matchup. Boxing seems to be starting another golden era.

    Garcia would destroy Postol.

Agreed with Terp, I don't think Crawford will be much of a factor at 147. Think Spence woukd just walk right through him

Yeah, the guy looked so terrifying against Aydin (his best win at the time), that I'm sure Garcia was terrified of him. Garcia gave him step aside money to pursue a much more lucrative and interesting fight, and afterward, he clearly was too big for 140.

Technically, he did avoid Postol, but it was a business decision. Unless you want to make the ridiculous argument that every boxer who gave stepaside money were doing so cause they didn't believe they could beat the guy they gave the money to.

Crawford's a VERY Good Fighter and Well Deserving of a Top 10 Spot on ANY Pound for Pound List, but he's Tooooo SMALL for Spence...

Crawford's Most IMPRESSIVE Performances Have Been Against SMALLER Guys and he's Not a DYNAMIC Enough Fighter to Overcome Spence's Advantages in Height, Reach, Strength, etc...The Guy That Beats Errol Spence will KEEP Him On his Backfoot and/or DETER his Attempts @ Getting In Close...

REED Can't See Crawford Being Able to Do Either w/Spence...

Last time Garcia destroyed ANYBODY it was Rod Salka. Yes, Rod Salka.

Postol is just a taaaadddd better than Salka.

Garcia couldn't "destroy" a completed shot Paulie.

I agree. He's not dynamic enough to out punch or out hustle a big solid guy like Spence and he hasn't shown to good enough being negative to not get walked over.

I think Mikey is too small for Crawford.
