the early 2000s was a golden era in boxing. Great fights.

I want to concentrate on just the fights involving the mini-Fabulous 4: Barrera, Morales, Pacquiao and Marquez.

    Rank these fights:

Barrera-Morales 1 ( the fight that started it all)
    Barrera-Morales 3
    Morales Pacquiao 1
    Morales Pacquiao 2
    Morales Pacquiao 3
    Pacquiao Marquez 1
    Pacquiao Marquez 4

The first MAB/Morales fight was the best obviously

Best rivalry in my lifetime... true, unadulterated, palpable hatred. Oil and water. It gave them an edge rarely seen in sports. Oh, also, MAB is 3-0 against that bird-faced motherfucker ;)

Wtf? You can be a fan of mab and think je bested morales without the hate! Morales was a killer of a fighter. Beat Pacquiao which is something mab never came close to doing

    Morales was great

Just hated him as a person and like winding up his fans

    Barrera is his daddy

Morales is clearly 2-1 over Barrera.

Barrera was a spurt fighter just like Canelo.

Morales - MAB 1 was a bit like Golovkin - Canelo. Morales was the boss, and doing the consistent work, and MAB was just stealing rounds by landing some "eye catching" shots near the end of the round.

Morales outlanded him and won fair and square.

I know I'm in the minority, but I've always believed Morales won that close but clear, ever since I saw it live. He landed more shots and did the more consistent work.

Agreed. Barrera was better and less of a spurt fighter than Canelo.

I can't believe even the third Pacquiao - Morales fight was 11 years ago, and Morales - Barrera 1 was SEVENTEEN years ago, omfg. It's nuts most of us have known each other since we were teenagers.

I agree Sly, fucking love Morales, one of my favourite fighters of all time. I miss the days of prime El Terrible.

Gotta say I am amazed at preferring Morales - Barrera 3 to the first one though, I seem to recall it being a somewhat boring fight that Barrera won clearly.
