I just recently started the first season and I feel it's a bit overrated. I think it's a fresh new idea but I don't think it's been consistently funny. Maybe I just need to get to season 2 and 3 and it'll improve but for now I think the Archer cartoon is a lot funnier.
what is this Bojack like? it looks interesting but the trailer makes it look like 'Daria'-style humour
It's a pretty heavy show after the first few episodes, kind of like a tragic Curb Your Enthusiasm. Not sure what Daria is though.
The only "adult" cartoon I've ever watched was Metalocalpyse. That was fun but not a rabid fan or anything.
I don't know if this comment belongs in the Mandela thread or not but I could have sworn the show was called Rick and Morty.
There is an even better cartoon show: is called Dora The Explorer were the main protagonist has powers to talk to animals, objects and shit even in Spanish!
So the friend of mine who started me watching this the first time when I wasn’t feeling it came by and started watching it on my Netflix again. This time it connected a lot better with me. In fact I started the whole series over again and I’m halfway through the last season and I have to say I love it. In fact it’s even surpassed Archer even though a lot of that has to do with Archer’s quality diminishing with each new season. Man I tried that one once and probably switched it off after 10 or 15 minutes. Maybe I should give it a bigger chance.
It took me a little while to get into Bojack. My kid kept on hounding me to watch it. It's one of those shows that's enjoyable enough while you're watching it, but I don't really feel any pull towards it when it's not on. 2 seasons of it might come and go before I flip on another episode of it. It's definitely not for everybody.
