    Yeah, if you stop lifting and then start up again, you regain the muscle you lost. I've kept it up tabatas-style for the past few months, but if I stopped weight-training, I would probably lose weight faster. It makes no sense to me to lose muscle though. I'll just try to get the fat off.

    Day 38: I am in the high 180s, but I'm running and hitting the weights regularly. I might not be able to get much lighter. Then again, I thought that when I was just under 200.

    I'm not going heavy on them at all. I'm doing them Tabatas-style until I get down to the weight I want. My heaviest bench this year was 335 for 1 rep, I squatted 425 for 6 reps, and deadlifted 405 once.

    Day 42: Well, I'm 185 and the weight training is going strong. Even though I want to be 170, I don't want to lose muscle---only fat. I'm pretty confident that I can go even lower than 170 without losing muscle and cut my bodyfat percentage in half---always good for the health and energy level.

    Day 47: I'm up and down in weight, but I am doing as many chinups as I ever have in my life. I'm doing as much climbing and pulling as I can so that I keep that muscle as I lean out. I still think I could go down another 20lbs easy. If I do, I should have no problem posting those 6-pack photos BOSS asked about. :eek:

    Ya Buddy I want to see those babies. I personally went on vacation late July, and for the last month I have been on a downward spiral. Starting this week I am back in the game, and plan on losing at least 10 pounds by October 1st.

    I can see how you incorporate your family into your work outs buddy. My cardio was getting boring so I started doing it with the kid. Did some trampoline jumping, wrestling, and hide and seek. Did that today for about 2 hours, would have kept it a little longer but had to return the kid from the street corner I found him at before the parents caught on and authorities started looking into it.

    Getting down this light, I cannot believe it, but I am climbing rope like I was when I was 21-22. I'm back in the 180s.

    Day 60 today: I'm 183---down 40lbs since the Superbowl in February. I am still doing tons of chins and getting low in bodyfat. I did 10km today and weighed myself. It's temporary, but soon it won't be. I'm swimming and running with the young lad when he wants to. If only we could bottle the energy that kids have---it's amazing. I'm glad I went through with this or he would be running me into the ground right now.

    The last time I was 165, I was 20. You bounce up and down between 4-5lbs a day. It's typically water retention from sodium. I'm definitely leaning out to a certain extent. The scale I have sends a light electrical current through you to check your body composition as well. All I know for sure is that even after a 8km run, I had the gas to run another 2km with the young lad. It's great to be able to do these types of things with family.

    Day 62---and so it goes. I think 160-170 might be ideal and my bodyfat will be around 10-15%. I might shrink down a bit lighter than I anticipated so that I can go back up about 10lbs in muscle. Regardless, life has changed in a big way. BOSS gave me a great idea though. I could go down to 165 or even a bit lighter to get down to the same weight I was when I was 19. I think I might try it, but I probably won't get there for another 4 months or so.

    Things are going pretty good right now, BOSS. I'm just shooting up the rope when I climb, and it's a great thing to be able to show your kid. I'm paying for it with wickedly sore outer bicep tendons, but they'll just get stronger and tougher.
