Crazy thing about ikeke is he liked to fight in relatively close quarters. Was not a guy working behind a long jab

Even if he gained 50 pounds he still wouldn't be out-of-shape

Corrales and Arguello were damn-close to being 6' "featherweights". Saddler was 5'11" at featherweight. Mario Veit was a 6'4" 168lbr. You get shit tall fighters and good tall fighters. Remember that5'11" Brazilian bum that Cotto blasted out too.....

Pretty much. I'm someone who thinks frame matters a lot in boxing, it's why I don't always place that much importance on pure weight (Alvarez for example).

But yeah, it only matters if you're good. If you're a crap boxer at world level, you can be as tall or rangey as you like and it won't matter at all.

Likewise if you're exceptional, you can have a much smaller frame than your opponents (Tyson, Pacquiao) and it also won't matter at all.

Jim Watt made that point in the Danny Williams vs Vitali f ight.................when he said " Look at the difference in frames of these two men".

Williams was in shape, and around 20-30lbs heavier, but looked way way smaller.

Whilst Saddler and Foster were tall, they both had relatively narrow shoulders. Junior Jones was broad-shouldered guy.

I've used that example myself. Williams was significantly heavier than Vitali, but no one in their right mind would have described him as the bigger man. Frame matters, it's not all about weight.

Alvarez too, people always talk about how huge he is, and yes he is very heavy - but so what? He's just a stocky little midget basically.

I mean, Floyd controlled him with ease in large part due to Alvarez's tiny frame. If Alvarez had height and reach on Floyd, I don't think it would have been anywhere near as easy as it was for Floyd.

Against Golovkin too, Alvarez was almost certainly the heavier man on the night, but he was the one running away, and Golovkin seemed like clearly the bigger, stronger guy.

George Foreman talked a lot of shit about wide hips and shoulders but he was right.

Absolutely...frame matters. I’ve always said so. Frame determines size...weight could just mean that you’re fat

Kelson Pinto. He was supposed to fight Hatton in England in 2004 but had last second visa problems so they brought in a lightweight from Denmark.
