Right now I still say Tito. Spence is my boy, but none of these guys he's beaten can compare to Tito in terms of firepower and talent. And he won't see Tito-like firepower and talent when he faces Run Time either.

BUT... I can't totally rule Spence out. He's potentially a special and great fighter.

What I WILL say is... I'd pick Spence over the welterweight Oscar. He's a style NIGHTMARE for the Golden Fag.

Spence is skillful and tough, but he might just be too hittable to beat Trinidad.

But I would definitely favor Spence over De La Hoya and Quartey at 147. And probably Mosley as well, seeing as Shane would be at major disadvantages as far as height, reach, plus being back up by the jab all night.

    Probably Mosley as well?

    Spence definitely beats Mosley.

I’d pick Tito to beat him at this point

To borrow a page from Sly, you also confidently picked Margarito over Mosley.

Stylistically Spence does better against Mosley, but prime Mosley was at his best against aggressive opponents. Even DLH couldn't bully him

Don't discount Mosley's fast hands and strength. He'd make Spence work for it and he'd get plenty of shots in.

I just feel that Spence would be too strong. And I think Mosley's power wouldn't deter him. Shane also fought in spurts. I think Errol would capitalize on that and get plenty of good work done when Mosley is taking his breathers. He'd take a lot of steam out of Mosley late with those body shots.

Spence via competitive but clear UD.

Sly is hilarious. He's not 100% sure that Spence would beat Thurman, but he seems 1000% sure that Spence would beat prime Mosley.

PLEASE tell me.... what in the fuck does Run Time Thurman have over Mosley?

I'll default to my usual answer when it comes to you: Styles my man. Styles.

Speedy Slick Slugging isn't beating Spence. I'd pick Mosley over Thurman though.

Thurman's style is anymore conducive for beating Spence than Mosley's.

Considering that prime Mosley was stronger, faster, more dynaic more durable, and with better stamina than Thurman, I fail to see how Thurman stands a better chance.

The jury is still out on Spence against Mosley. I'm only saying I'd pick him over Oscar, because in that particular matchup, the styles very much work in Spence's favor... ESPECIALLY considering Oscar's stamina problems.

Prime Mosley would be tougher than Thurman for Spence due to Shane being pretty strong and fast at welter, whereas Thurman has decent speed, and is not particularly strong or powerful. He's the definition of a small welter.

    BTW, prime Mosley crushes Thurman.

Thurman isn't a top 10 P4P guy on my list.

In no particular order: Crawford, Spence, Golovkin, Kovalev, Loma, M.Garcia, Canelo, Inoue, Usyk, Lara.

That's 10 guys right there who are above him.

    Quintana was shot to pieces.

Soto Karass was solid at the time because he was coming off of stopping Berto.

yeah, I guess it's better to cling to the tired cliche that everything was so much better in the good old days

In any other era, Thurman is a contender and nothing more.

I don't think he could hang with any of the great welterweights from the yester years, nor win a belt or anything.

Thurman does have ability to land sneaky counter haymakers. That is how he shut down Garcia - hurt him early and put him in a shell.

Thurman would/could be champ in a few era. Not all of the chaps from yesterday were SRL, far from it

I guess it's better to cling to the belief that boxing has been a mainstream sport the last 30 years

It depends on what part of the globe you're talking about. I know it's hard for americans to understand, but the US is not the only place in the world nor is it the center of the universe.

And even in the US, boxing is so ''not mainstream'' that year after yeat the most payed athletes list is usually topped by a boxer

Even though Cdogg overrated him... Starling schools Thurman.

I also think that Simon Brown stops Thurman late.
