Agreed. Hatton's only chance would be a ref who allows him to grapple without consequence. A ref who calls it fair, and Crawford's skill would be too much.
My only question is does Crawford stop him? My guess would be if Ricky walks into enough right hooks, it's definitely possible.
Hatton. He was fast enough to get inside Crawford range, and from there, he would maul him. Wouldnt be pretty but he gets a dec
Hatton wasn't shit. He could excel against certain styles. But Crawford's style is wrong for him, ESPECIALLY if Crawford fought southpaw (which he would). Hatton couldn't avoid getting hit by southpaws to save his life.
Crawford hasn't fought anybody at 140 for me to say he'd definitely beat Hatton. He gets hit and he's not a huge puncher.
It didn't take a huge puncher to hurt Hatton. I remember when scrub ass southpaw Eamon Magee dropped him, then later had his legs doing jello from a right hook. Ricky was horrible against southpaws. Crawford counters sharply and hard enough with either had to hurt Hatton. This ain't JCC we're talking about here.... Hatton wasn't that hard to hurt.
Crawford was visibly hurt at least twice against Diaz who has no real power. Lil Hank Lundy was flying his head around. He's going to get hit against Hatton and he doesn't seem to have the firepower or chin to out slug him. I need to see Crawford fight an actual top guy.
Agreed. At this point, Crawford looks fine and dandy, but it's hard to know how good he really is, since he barely fought anyone. The guy make Stevenson opposition look like a killer's row, which is quite an accomplishment.
