One could make a compelling argument that this is the best clinic in boxing history. The man was boxing poetry in motion.
Napoles would be the GOAT if he never got cut (or had the epic sparring session with Esteban DeJesus)
I've just watched it. Indeed Napoles PERSONIFIES his nickname (Mantequilla, which is butter in Spanish). He really was smooth as butter. Probably one of those guys that boxing came naturally to. Every punch, slip, pivot, etc. It was effortless. He really is underrated.
Just watched it too. Very impressive indeed: relaxed and as puerto said, effortless, natural and perhaps most of all purposeful. No hippety-hopping but sheer craft That being said, he looks surprisingly slow compared to the likes of De La hoya or Mosley. Not saying it necessarily means anything
He didn't have super handspeed, no. But he wasn't slow either, and he was accuracy and technique were so perfect that it compensated for not having super speed.
REED's INTENTIONALLY Neglected Napoles Out of Allegiance to Curtis Cokes... Mr. Cokes NEVER had a Bad Word to Say about Napoles, Nor Did he EVER Make Excuses for his Losses to Napoles, Nonetheless, REED's Kept a Safe Distance from Napoles Footage, as a Result... REED
