Great headlining actors but cheap budget and a director whose done nothing of note. Not read the books so......wait until online stream is available.
Haven't read these but isn't another major character in the books a black woman? I heard there's some race dynamics in the book and wonder how this will change it. No complaints with the actor. Idris is great.
In the books there was a black woman who was classy and educated but she had a split personality where she was a ghetto characature and said shit like "don you be gettin yoself up in mah way, boi!" It was the most racist shit I've ever read in popular fiction and I doubt it will make it into the film. Casting Elba is probably in part a way to apologize and assure audiences that they know better.
Sounds like a good omission. Like the kids in IT pulling a train on the girl in the group was removed from the miniseries. King writes some good stuff but some of the shit you feel dirty after reading.
