Certainly...since Leonard was nothing more than an overrated runner and grappler.

 

Prime Vargas only loses to glove loaders and guys who fight like Sal Sanchez.

Leonard always tried not to lose, rather than fighting to win... remember how he ran from the feather-fisted Thomas Hearns in that shameful fight that he lost in 1981 via unanimous decision?

Nine rounds sounds about right.

 

Sugar won't stop a fresh Vargas, he'll just beat him up from rounds 7 to 10 and then back off and coast and pick up a wide decision.

2 or 3 years later, he probably stops him in 5,6 rounds.

 

ANY version of Vargas is vunerable to the left hook.

Ray's hook would put Vargas to sleep sooner or later. Ray's hook might not have had quite the force of Tito's, but due to the handspeed Nando wouldnt see it coming.
