He's flat out fat right now, pot belly and all. When he gets his fight, he trains and naturally loses weight until he is around 194 lbs. THEN cuts the extra lbs of water weight, which is only like 9bs. Anderson even said he could make 170 to fight GSP, which isn't that hard to believe considering fatass Johnson makes almost the same cut. Except he blows up to 240 of fatness not 220. GSP as of the Koscheck fight was weighing 188 in the cage. The difference is that GSP always stays in the gym and stays and shape when he is not training while Anderson eats pudding and spends time with his kids.(GSP might be gay, this guy is never in a relationship with females, very odd) ANDERSON IS NOT MUCH LARGER THAN GSP! He weighs maybe 8lbs more in the cage at best. Definitely would like to see this fight go off even at 170 now.
Everything that you've posted here regarding A Silva's 'walking wieght' and 'cutting weight' and 'fight weight' is correct. However, I'm curious why you want to see GSP vs Silva after you've repeatedly stated that "GreaseSP" is boring, can't finish, etc. Are you really compelled by the competition of those 2 fighters finally squaring off? Or are you more compelled by validating your assertions that GSP isn't what everybody thinks him to be?
GSP would balloon up too if he ate pudding and sat at home watching tv and playing with his kids. :: In shape Anderson is 195lbs, period. When he walks into the cage, he's 195. GSP is always in shape, so he's always cutting water weight exclusively. This guy always talks about his walking weight being around 185, but then they weighed him after he rehydrated during the Kos fight and he weighed 188. He could be even more, who knows. I have a hard time believing this guy doesn't lose any weight during intensive training, though with all of that lean muscle it is more believable. Seriously, your logic is faulty, this is like suggesting Ricky Hatton was big enough for 147 simply because he ballooned up to HW when he wasn't training. Ricky wasn't exactly entering the ring at 160lbs, even though he may have been damn near 200 outside of it.
It's the biggest fight to be made in MMA. In terms of both relevancy and in terms of being the biggest fight in terms of drawing. That is why. I can't even think of anything that would even come close. It's MMA's Pac vs Mayweather.
Are you stupid or something?? What is it about "naturally losing weight" don't you understand?? He is naturally a much bigger man than GSP. Man are you fucking stupid!
Apparently some retards are unable to see the difference between fighters blowing up after fights, and their actual weight when they step in the cage that they make their cut from. Anderson cuts from 194 and GSP cuts from 188, but apparently because Anderson eats pudding and plays video games with his kids during the many months he's not booked for a fight, he's apparently some huge monster that makes a monstrous cut to make weight...:: Hell, he cuts less water weight than GSP does. So you know that whole thing about Hatton being a small 147 lber and Floyd being the naturally bigger man? Bullshit. Hatton is "naturally" a cruiserweight. I mean, look at what he walks around at!
Dude wtf Silva is 4" taller and fights 1 or 2 divisions above GSP. He is clearly much larger, he only makes 185 by cutting down to a skeleton, whereas GSP is pretty filled out at 170. No comparison.
One.... GSP would be a short middleweight, but he has extremely long arms. He has a reach of 76 inches. Anderson's is 77.5. Depending on how its measured I guess. Their reaches always seem to change. That said, this could go down at 170 as well.
No, Im saying if the two were to fight in the cage, there wouldn't be some huge weight disparity that everyone seems to think there would be. I think after hydrating, I'd expect Silva to be about 8lbs heavier, which really makes no difference in terms of a super fight.
The amount of actual pounds doesnt matter as it relates to what goes on in a fight.. Its all about the natural size of a person. So the # wouldnt be too far off, but it wouldnt matter because thats not what would give silva any type of advantage hes not a very physically imposing person so it might not matter anyhow
What? The bags in your face started flapping around and you saw your reflection? Lay off the cigs dude. :hammert:
