I don't disagree with his general points about the guys in the 80s being better than this generation and the division being deeper.

Who would haye have beaten? Tyson? Witherspoon? Holmes? Bruno? Tucker? Ruddock? Holyfield?

Oddly, he never mentioned Holyfield, who was more of a 90s fighter anyways, as was Bruno himself, splitting the two decades really. Haye wouldn't have beaten any of those guys. Haye wouldn't have beaten Coetzee or Dokes either. Haye is a KANT.

I guess he was talking about his era even though he stated 80s, so you can add lewis, bowe, spinks, mccall to that list. Haye wouldn't have gotten anywhere with any of them. But niether would wlad. Vitali may have got a few wins. Maybe.

He'd be even money or a favorite over Witherspoon, Bruno and Tucker.

Wlad is white, he couldn't have beaten any of those guys, they all had Black Inner City Slickness- Serious Cups of Tea, as it were.

Witherspoon lost to Saverese, Golota, for fucks sake.

Vitali also has better results than Bowe versus common opponents.

Anyways, back on topic, I think the BBC just saw Frank and jumped on him, demanded an interview, and allowed Frank to rumble on.

Only the Gold Label. That Tetleys is all bollox, for sure. Punjana comes from Afghanistan so I wouldn't touch that.

Also an awful point when you consider that Vitali turned pro late in the same year that Bowe was beaten out of boxing.

What did Bruno say that is incorrect here? Haye couldn't hang in the past era's of this division. Aside from the Klitshcko's, almost NO ONE in this division could compete in any of the era's going back to the 60's and only because the fighters were significantly smaller back then.

Really? Jack Johnson has an entire legacy built on needing 15 rounds to beat up the alcoholic and 6-years-out-of-the-game remainder of JJ Jeffries.

Its fights like that which make it impossible for me to take Johnson seriously.

    What are you rambling about?

Your point is among the worst in Fightbeat history. And that's saying a lot.

BUT, BUT.... Witherspoon lost to Savarese in 2002!!!!!111

You don't have to be a Canadian cardigan-wearing Liberal every day of your life mate.

Who beat Bowe out of boxing? According to Max Kellerman, it was the KFC Corporation.

Bowe is one of these fighters who, mysteriously, lacks a prime.

His performance vs Hide had fuck all to do with anything other than the guys inability to put away a small, mobile opponent who hurt him repeatedly.

If you are sincerely suggesting that Bowe was in some sort of magical slump that allowed Hide to make him look bad then, fine, I don't know what else to say to you.

Klitschko was a far bigger, far harder man than Bowe and had more balls to boot.

Klitschko took on Lewis on 2 weeks notice- just for that he gets dibs in ANY Mythical Matchup with Bowe.

Yeah and Darrell Wilson knocked out Briggs in 1997 or something.

I guess Vitali and Lennox struggled with inferior, older versions of Briggs

Jack Johnson beat an ancient, retired version of Jeffries. Its still in the history books as a great win.

Witherspoon lost to Saverese. Period. Saverese was a terrible fighter. A 40 year old Tim should have been able to stop his oft-stopped-meatball eating ass.

I find my posts more believable than the trite, conceived and agenda-laden shite that comes out of certain "respected" media houses in the boxing game.

Bowes travails with Herbie Hide tell you a lot about how limited Bowe really was.

If you think Vitali is better than Bowe that's your opinion, and you're entitled to it. Totally fair.

But to bring up common opponents? Who are they, Hide and Donald? Vitali took Hide out over four years after Bowe did. Eight years separated Bowe/Donald from Vitali/Donald.

Too much of this crap comes from your heart. Try using your brain.

You miss the point....Bowe didn't take out Donald. KLitschko did. He took him off his feet with one massive right hand. Bowe didn't. Not even close. Are you telling me that in the intervening 8 years that Donalds brain had turned into mush? That his chin had eroded? Or maybe Bowe just didn't have the punch to do what Vitali did....or, even worse...couldn't land the punch that Vitali did.

Now go back and address his shortcomings with Herbie Hide.

Herbie Hide fought Vitali 4 years after Bowe, give or take. Maybe even less. And he took no poundings in the interim.

He never hurt Vitali, never got off no big right hands, never went much of a distance.

Bowe had serious flaws in his game. Serious flaws. I think he knew them too so he avoided Lewis.

Fine then, don't. If you think Saverese was a good fighter then thats your loss.
