Shouldn't have made any difference against a bum like Lou. I guess Lou was in peak form in 2002. Lou was like 10 years removed from a loss to George Foreman, who, more than 8 years previous again, had lost to Jimmy Young.

I see you're still trying to make the worst point in Fightbeat history. :atu:

Bowe was past his best y'all so don't judge too harsh.

Sorry I went downstairs to watch some World Series of Boxing, some Croatian guy fighting for Mexico City Guerreros just beat a guy from Memphis. Bernard would not be happy.

Bowe was especially susceptible to left hooks, but really his defense was lacking in many ways. He had serious flaws that probably would have been exposed regularly against big punchers like Tyson, Lewis, and the Klitschkos.

Bowe just happened to be a lazy sucker with a very good chin and a tremendous will to win, if not train.

Ah yes so the point we are hammering home is that Witherspoon losing to Savarese in 2002 when he was 45 is a reflection of just how poor the 80's heavyweights were? because witherspoon was in the 80's...

I seriously couldn't understand most of what Bruno was saying, between the ridiculously deep voice and the accent, he's just plain hard to understand.

I actually posted the clip in an attempt at humour. I found big Franks language and choice of words to be most amusing. I have heard fighters compared to many things but "serious cups of tea" does not number amongst them.

Of course, once people got the feeling that the Golden Fleece of 80s heavyweights was being laughed at, they felt the need to pile in and tell us how "Prime" Riddick Bowe would have sorted Vitali and Wladimir out.

Which kind of had fuck all to do with the original premise.

Nope, and if that the impression you got, you didn't get it from anything I posted but thanks for your contribution anyways.

By the way, George Foreman was 45 when he beat Moorer, which is more an indication of how shit 90's heavyweights were.

Except Bowe. He was the truth. He would whip Vitali and it doesnt matter how good Vitali looked versus Lewis, Hide and Donald as Bowe fought them in both his prime and their prime. Vitali waited for them to get old and then he fought them.

And Jack Newfield and Wally Matthews agree with me so fuck you.
