Oh they could have become very decorated along the way,.. with proper drug tests aside, Adamek could be going for his 8th weight class!!!,.. maybe made a favourite against Wlad with his resume, who only fights 'lame mandatories' ofcourse,...[IMG] ,...damn, Wlad he be missing out on his Hopkins - Tito moment, if only more weight divisions and belts were provided.

Nah, I'm the trolly wheel on this motorcycle,.. he's clear, eloquent, organised and alot more formidable to argue against than my propeller of dettached strings. All's I rely for the principle to bite on it's very own. :crafty:

    Here, I'll say it:

The HW division is crap. In the 90s, the Klitschkos would've been relegated to perennial contender status, at best.

Yeah, you're very complimentary of each other...and very like-minded...but you're posting style is just different enough.

One in the same, you two, one in the same.

come on, man, you are NOT that stupid

    I fucking know you arent

You know damn well I was not comparing you to them in the sense of you believing ANY of the shit they believe... I was alluding to your tendency to be highly reactionary... THAT is what you have in common with them

you know me better than that and you know logic a hell of a lot better than that... now, come on

but there's your problem, right there

    you dont listen

where have I EVER not given the Klitschko's (particularly Vitali) credit for being good, effective fighters???

the DIVISION is shit, but I think Vitali Klitschko with his formidable size, durability and oddly effective technique is a good heavyweight fighter who would ALWAYS be a good heavyweight fighter... I dont think hes an all-time great, but he's at the very least formidable and good... Waldimir, despite his superior technique and talent, is a guy who I think would get ICED if the division were better because his chin is a pile of dog shit

THE DIVISION SUCKS, but one of the champions (Vitali) is a legitimately tough and good fighter... this has been my position on him for YEARS... you never listen

If Ali, could get away with the 1,2 -hold... 1,2 -hold,..

The rules, as it's written, have barely ever been properly enforced in boxing,.. if they were, then you may be right about Wlad,.. but since they're not,.. and his old school opponent happens to find a way to move like Keanu Reeves in the matrix to avoid that brutal pole-vault jab,.. then Wlad can take the precedental liberty of squeezing his tentacles around his pray for a 'safety zone' reset.

if a pair of bums like Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster could knock out Wlad, I shudder to think what a Lennox Lewis or a Tyson or even a Tim Witherspoon could do to him... that "brutal" jab works on the lazy, barely talented, cowardly, poorly schooled miscreants that currently make up the bulk of the heavyweight division, but it wouldnt work on any of the three guys I just mentioned and about 100 other guys I havent mentioned... Lennox Lewis would absolutely decapitate Wladimir... that 1-2 Hold bullshit works when you have a fat slob with no courage, desire or skills like Sam Peter in front of you... it wouldnt work against a good fighter... Wladimir is SHIT, I dont care how nice his punches look or how effective his cowardly style has suited him against the Flotsam he faces... against a good fighter, he'd get exposed... luckily for him, the only really good heavyweight fighter is his big brother

I believe Lennox Lewis is, and always will be better than both Wlad and Vitali for the record.

But tell me,.. if the much smaller Ali, could be so effective, throwing a couple of straights and tying his opponent up in endless cycles,.. how is it not going to work for a giant like Wlad?..who's straight shots are way harder and discouraging.

several reasons... one, Ali was ridiculously fast of hand, even after the exile, it was very difficult to slip his punches... two, he didnt do that all the time, he actually did open up and force his opponent to respect his punches... three, he got hit A LOT and was as tough as nails, easily one of the toughest fighters ever

It was very hard to slip his punches if you were 5'11", 6', slow, fat and white like Chuck Wepner, or defence-deficient like Joe Frazier.

Ali is boss, clearly, and would take some whupping.

My point is this: when ole 6'8" Vitali gets in there, does his awkward thing, and doesnt get suckered into rope-a-dopes and speed-traps, and it goes into the 6th, 7th, 8th..........and he's not walking into everything, and he is hitting Ali back a bit......who does that make look good?

    Ali?

    or VitAli?

The point has already been raised- 147 is a mess, despite having some decent fighters.

Do Floyd and Manny have any better a shot with Ray Robinson or Tommy Hearns than Vitali has with Ali or George Foreman?

Ironically, Floyd would win fewer fights against the Marquee Welters and Lightweights- Gavilan, Robinson, Ray Leonard, Hearns, Basilio, Griffith, Williams, Duran, etc than Vitali would win against the Marquee Heavies- Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Marciano, Baer, Louis, Lewis, Johnson, L Sullivan etc.

We have already seen Vitali in deep against probably the 2nd best HW champ of all time in Lennox Lewis.

Floyd? Won't even fight the best 145lbr of his time.

    But his division is healthy.

    Ok.

I have to hand it to you man, you are the most dedicated Vitali hugger I have ever seen. Also, the only Vitali hugger I have ever seen.

Not really analogous, it's like asking if Sugar Ray Leonard would stand a chance against Roy Jones Jr because he fought at 175 lbs. Floyd and Manny could both still make 140 and probably 135 if they wanted to. Compare them to all time greats at 130 lbs, and I think both of them would do very well.

No version of Lennox is the 2nd best HW champ of all time, let alone the out of shape and disinterested version we saw kick the shit out of Vitali in his very last fight.

Lennox Lewis is arguably the best HW of all time.

Ali is "Dee Greatess" but Lewis could conceivably kick fuck out of just about any HW out there.

I would reckon Lewis gets rid of Frazier, Norton and Quarry with about half the sweat Ali did.

You do understand that his rating of Lewis is merely a means to an end, right?

If Lewis hadn't butchered Vitali's face, he'd be arguing Vitali was the best.

Since he can't, he's going to the next best thing...Lewis is the 2nd best, but really the best in all but name only, and the guy that got filleted by him is the next best.

I love the increasingly common euphamism for poor technical skill-set regarding Vitali Klitschko..."awkward"

The irony of it, the very man who himself relies on and parlays the word "tough" into a free pass for decades worth of oafishness amongst heavyweights who wouldn't themselves pass rudimentary cholesterol testing , much less deal with either Klitschko.

Oh sure, Galento was a slob with the training habits of a hibernating bear and the dietary habits of one emerging from hibernation, but he was tough.

Norton, Frazier and Quarry...so that's the remainer of your top 5, eh "Irish".

Noticed you avoided Foreman, go ahead ahead post your opinion on Foreman-Klitschko...you can start with the version that fought Briggs in 1997 and work your way backwards.

I'm not convinced Lewis destroys Foreman. Or Tyson. Or Ali. Or Holmes.

You apparently are, yet you haven't substantiated it.
