Bradley wasn't that spectacular vs alexander.

When he threw combinations, it just seemed like he did so in an imprecise manner, basically throwing hell for leather and hoping for the best.

Bradley didn't impress me at all in this fight. Khan would easily beat him from the outside. Talk of a Pacquiao fight seems a little ridiculous now. Actually, given that, Freddie Roach will probably try to make the fight.

I was impressed with his start - the way he methodically took away Alexander's jab, got him circling clockwise, backing up. He did all the right things & showed allot of technical acumen. But he didn't really stick to that game plan, instead he got over eager and a bit wild as the rounds went on.

Maybe he knew he could get away with a bit of sloppiness and was just eager to please and entertain as well as win. He'd have to be more disciplined against Khan, though.

Khan is twice the fighter Alexander is.

Bradley ain't gonna stay outside passively, playing Khan's game. He can match Khan's foot speed (unlike Kotelnik) & he can slip/parry a jab very effectively (unlike Malinaggi) - he'll have as much say in the range of that fight as Khan. It'll be interesting.

Bradley won't be as easy to hit like maidana, but with khan, he'll get hit quite frequently. It'll be a pretty tough fight, but khan wins. Early doors will be interesting. I'd like to see khan test bradley to the body. Rounds 1-4 imo, khan has enough power to really hurt bradley. If it goes the distance, the later rounds will be shared evenly, but by then khan would have enough rounds in the bag to get a clear decision.

People have to remember that the fight was stopped at precisely the time when Bradley was poised to take over and really separate himself.

I'm certainly not putting Bradley in the same category as Pryor, but it's useful to point out that like Bradley, Pryor's hyper-aggression often meant abandoning a text-book approach in favor of laying on as much punishment as possible when the opportunity presented itself.

It'd be a fascinating fight. :crafty:

I agree. And the thing with guys like Bradley is that they generally choose their moments to be 'rash'. He knows that Alexander can't fight backing up and when he saw Devon's feet offset he knew he had a greater license to throw caution to the wind, even if just to make an impression on the judges. These moments aren't always as sloppy or thoughtless as it might look, IMO.

Honestly it's kind of true. If Alexander was European (or even Mexican or Asian) he'd be getting a FUCK load of shit, and being called a gutless quitter etc.

In America, a non American quitting is the WORST THING EVER, but an American quitting just kind of gets brushed under the rug

I thought he quit. I pretty much said so in this thread. What was stinging him? There was nothing in his eyes.

Yeah, I don't think he wanted to go anymore either. However, I'm sure those headbutts hurt badly.

Bradley does have a big fucking head. But shit, tough it out. This is for the championship of the world

Yep, it was exactly like I said earlier. It was nothing more than a glorified sparring session. There was no passion and seemingly no desire to distinguish themselves.

I just don't get it. I guess I'm spoiled, but I just couldn't see Alexis Arguello letting it go prematurely to the cards if Pryor head butted him.

Bradley wouldn't allow Khan to get into his rhythm. He'd stay inside his Khan's range and outwork him that way. Its not like Khan knows how to fight inside.

And Bradley isn't Maidana. He's an intelligent fighter who knows how to adjust to his opponent's style.

I wonder if someone told him he was ahead on the scorecards or didnt care either way.

It looked to me like he thought he was ahead. But he was obviously frustrated/overwhelmed with the headbutts in the post interview.

Bradley looked wilder than usual against Devon, for whatever reason.

But he's a smart, tough, solid, well rounded fighter.

I think he's simply too good for Khan.

These days when picking fights I tend to not even analyse styles too much.

I just pick who I think is better. Bradley is better than Khan, and has less flaws.

Bradley is clearly better than Devon, which is why I was almost 100% sure he would win.

I think Devon is the worst of the 4. I would be confident in picking Khan and Maidana over him.

I would have a hard time picking Khan over Alexander. Alexander showed some great skill in that fight and you could see he was quick and worked off the jab well. Im just not completely sold on Khan yet. Maybe it was his last fight, but i thought he looked very vulnerable. If Miadana was smarter, i think he could have took Khan out. But one thing is for sure, Alexander & Bradley are both very smart in the ring.

I think Khan would win a comfortable UD in a messy fight with Bradleh

Whether we agree or not, one thing is for certain, this fight needs to be made next.

I also thought that this fucking HBO show, really showed again how HBO cares less and less about boxing. They spend half an hour pumping these two guys instead of showing more fights. There had to be fights on the undercard. Show something other than talking before the fight.

Godfather, as you probably know I hate Khan.

But Alexander has a 0% chance against him, literally none at all. That's because he has nothing over Khan. Even against Bradley he has range and a slight handspeed advantage.

Khan is taller, rangier, faster than Alexander, with a better jab, better footwork, and is also - believe it or not - much tougher. Give Khan one thing, he is not a quitter.

Khan looked vulnerable against Maidana, but Alexander is not Maidana. Maidana is a tough, strong, powerful, determined fighter.

Alexander is just sort of, nothing.

On the world stage he's just very average, not legit world champion material. Not only that, but he barely actually FOUGHT, and then fucking quit when the going got tough.

Alexander is basically a poor man's Khan. An outfighter who can't fight inside or backing up, etc...just not as good.

    Khan would beat Alexander comfortably.
