Thanks for posting it. Bas is right on with regards to how Brock needs to train. That is a very old technique that many martial artist have used and it would work wonders for brock. But he has to do it.
Thanks for posting dude. I love Bas. And he hit the nail on the head with Griffin-Franklin.. I think the size of Griffin will really be a factor in this fight. He is also dead on with Lesnar.
Well, maybe. It's not like Franklin is amazing in any one area. It's not like he has a huge advantage over Griffin in stand-up or wrestling or BJJ. I think they are close enough skill wise that size will make the difference. Wait until the weigh-in today and check out how much bigger Griffin is.
Apart from size I can't think of 1 advantage that Forrest has over Franklin. Not to mention Forrest probably won't try to use it for his advantage. I see Forrest getting Ko'd by the 2nd at the lastest.
I agree with you. Look at how both of them did aginst Silva. Franklin didn't do that bad, until the clinch and knees. Forrest was never ever in the fight at all what so ever. I believe Rich has a pretty good advantage on the feet and will KO forrest, as much as I am tired of seing Forrest get KO'd, it's probably happening again.
Each time I see Franklin he looks older and older. Which also he looks slower and slower. I don't think Forrest is better than him by anymeans. I just think Forrest is catching him at a good time to do so.
The fights a tough call for me. I just don't have much faith in either guy's ability to just take over the bout. And it's another one of the fights where I like both guys and don't want either to lose. I will probably decide after I see them square off at the weigh in, but something tells me Franklin is going to try to use his speed advantage standing, which I think will lose to Griffin's work rate. We'll see.
I think at 205 and against guys at 205, they are probably closer to equal in power and chin. But I'm not convinced enough to argue with you. And that's probably what makes this an interesting fight.
I don't even think it's much of an argument. Chin wise, Rich has gone to battles with Wanderlei and Hendo and not been KO'd. He's only been KO'd by Anderson, Belfort and Machida in his whole career. None were particularly brutal and all were hard, legit KO shots. Whether be a nose-destroying knee, a head kick and flurry or a hook and flurry. Forrest has a pretty weak chin to be honest, he's been KO'd by Horn, Rashad, Anderson and Jardine. Obviously a step down from the guys rich was fighting. Not to mention Anderson KO'd him with a right jab going backward rather than knees to the face against the fence. Even in his fight with Rampage, he was pretty much rocked by every punch Rampage landed clean. Power again, not close. Franklin is 3-1 at 205 with 3KOs. The one lost a highly disputed decision against ironjawed Dan Henderson, who he wasn't going to knock out anyway. His last fight he knocked Chuck into retirement with his off hand. Forrest has NO power at all. In his entire career, the guy has 3KOs, which Franklin matches in only 4 fights at the weight. All were against complete cans as well. Forrest can pretty much only win this by outworking an older Franklin by throwing a thousand of his leg kick jabs.
