That was a weird fight though. Neither fighter was doing shit for 3 minutes then all of a sudden a few strikes were thrown, Silva got taken down and all of a sudden strikes were coming in high volume then boom good night.
Don't see where it fits in. Gonna be Okami, then possibly GSP, then possibly Shogun/Jones and it might be retirement time.
LOL... Yeah, but you've probably seen it a bunch of times. It was an amazing KO. I mean sure, it's wasn't as much fun as that much hyped 140 pound boxing match that ended due to a headbutt, but hey, it's MMA. ::
well that was a pretty dull and disappointing boxing match. i said as much. but if you chaps are paying 40bucks to see some guy take a simple front kick to the face and leaving pleased then boxing stands no chance.
First time I've ever seen that. Anderson has a habit of doing these ridiculous things against world ranked competition.
Well, for me, watching one of the top P4P fighters in the world dispatch a challenger with a one-of-a-kind finish, was worth it. Add the other fights to the mix and it was a good value. And the fact that MMA fans find that finish entertaining has nothing to do with why boxing might stand no chance.
Absolutely. And people can say what they want about Vitor but Silva handled him EXACTLY as he should have. Belfort is a guy that has taken some big shots from some big punchers in his career. And Silva put him to sleep with an unheard of finishing strike. It's amazing no matter how you slice it.
Soares is shit as a translator but Silva credited Steven Seagal for working for months on that kick. There's vids of him drilling it with Seagal to the body, but Silva changed it to a head kick in this one.
Seriously, we got 5 fights on a PPV, 3 fights on Spike and a Fight on Facebook. compared to 1 boxing fight last week. Yes, we got our money's worth
