GSP has better names, but between the two Silva has dispatched his challengers much more impressively.

GSP. However I don't see the need to compare. Both have had spectacular careers.

Lets get this fight on. There really is nobody for either guy to fight in their weight classes.

i guess gsp has more notable names on his resume, but it's not really silva's fault considering the disparity in talent and names between welterweights and middleweights.

if gsp dethrones silva at middleweight, then it's arguable that gsp is the greatest fighter ever.

Horrible fight, Anderson is too big for GSP and could be fighting at 205. GSP has the better resume.

GSP might have the better resumé, but he'll get beaten very easily by Anderson---unless he somehow makes Anderson mad, in which case he will get beaten easily AND quickly.

At 185, in either Vegas, Rio or Canada.

Strong feeling it'll be in Rio.

No way it's easy for Anderson. You are being too simplistic. Andersons biggest weakness is a good wrestling game. GSP is one of the best.

you are right, I can see a situation with either guy winning. It will be who forces the other to fight their fight. GSP is waaaay too smart to fight with Anderson standing up.

Wow, in terms of resumes, I'm not sure how the easy nod is being given to GSP.

I tend to give a little more credit to dominance and Silva has finished 11 of 13 UFC opponents with only 4 making it past 2 rounds.

GSP has the names, but many of them like Sherk, Serra and Penn were above their best weight in my opinion.

That being said, I thing everything evens out and neither guy has a clear advantage. They have both racked up great credentials and that can't be debated.

I agree. I hate comparing resumes of fighters. Too many intangibles such as weight differences, different opponents, different eras, different fight circumstances etc. Way easier to Just appreciate how good they both are.
