Duran goes down once or twice but lasts to out-hustle Cintron and escapes with a narrow decision

 

I don't know. If Hearns could turn out Duran's lights with a right hand i don't see why Cintron couldn't do the same.

 

Yes I thought of that but Cintron didn't quite have the reach and speed to fire first like Tommy even though Cintron hit at least as hard as him. Thus he would definitely floor Duran, but for the most part I think Duran could survive and avoid contact

 

Kermit's only chance here is if Duran's slips on the urine that would be on the canvas.

Even given the very large size discrepancy this is a complete mismatch. Duran TKO 9, being 7-1 up on the cards.

This of course presumes a 78-80 welterweight Duran.

 

I vote 3rd round no contest.

Fight is called to a halt when Kermit attempts to back-flip over the top turnbuckle and into the arms of his waiting fight manager, Gorilla Monsoon.

Monsoon does not catch Kermit cleanly and he bangs his head on a cushioned seat back, on the way down.

Referee stops fight on account of an "ouchie".
