So you would never use weight class as an excuse for Aoki losing? Since weight doesn't mean anything for the better fighter, you wouldn't use that as an excuse, right?
Henderson didn't even fight another North American fighter from his lone early fight with whoever the hell Eric Smith is until he was pretty much outwrestled by Rampage. Another bullshit excuse. Hendo wasn't even fighting OTHER WRESTLERS and he was being taken down all of the time in PRIDE by BJJ fighters or whatever. Jake Shields went up a WC(which you know, is so damn amazing to you) and was the best wrestler Hendo every fought and completely took him down at will.
So yet another post and not one single name of a WW that easily took Henderson down. Still waiting..........
I said he was taken down by easily by Shields. A WELTERWEIGHT. A lesser and smaller one than GSP at that. Not sure why the hell you keep repeating that.
Do you realize how finished Henderson was as a fighter when he fought Shields? Are you that clueless?
You said he was taken down by WWs. Meaning more than 1. If you made a mistake thats fine, just admitted. Dont keep digging and it will be left alone.
shields look pretty damn sharp vs. hendo at 185 yet looked to have stamina issues at 170 vs. kampmann. not sure if he's blown up at 185 where he had SEVERAL fights including championship fights. he might be able to make 170, but i'm sure he makes an ardous effort to get there.
I agree, Joony. I have said several times that Shields will consistantly have a hard time making 170 from now on. His body adjusted to 185 and now he is older. Going back down to 170 is never going to be easy for Shields again.
yup. that and when you're already that big, 15 pounds is a lot. just look at diego sanchez. when he fought clay guida, he fought a naturally smaller guy who fought a rapid pace and could attack relentlessly for three rounds. while that fight was exciting, it was apparent that sanchez was spent after the first round. at 170, i think sanchez would've won more convincingly. also, imagine if guida dropped to featherweight. i doubt he'd be able to move frenetically as he does at lightweight.
