I laughed pretty hard at the end.

Dana doesn't do a lot of hand holding with his fighters, does he?

That's blunt and harsh. Love it.

Dana is already not a fan of Greg Jackson's gym, this just adds to it IMO

If you're a professional fighter, your goal is ostensibly to be the best in an individually competitive sport. You're paid to beat others in a combat environment, and the governing body or organization doesn't make exceptions if you're friends with the other participant. That's the way it should be.

Some people can separate competitive sports from friendship and some cannot. There are no friends in the ring with you. It's one on one.

The funny thing is, Rashad would look great in SF. To me its obvious Rashad doesn't care about being the best in the world. He's very content with his status. He would be a title holder in SF. I bet you start seeing Dana and Joe start matchmaking friends against friends. They can't let this become a reoccurring theme.

I LOVE Dana's stance on this issue. Make the fights, forget feelings.

As VIOLENT as Combat Sports R, they're Still SPORTS @ the End of the Day...In the NBA, NFL & NHL, Close Friends Compete HARD Against Each Other Every Night...Very Rarely is there TRUE MALICE in the Minds of a COMPETITOR, just the Desire to BEAT the Guy/Team in Front of him...Most Boxers/MMAists Carry this SAME Mentality to the Ring/Cage w/them...

N Rashad's Case, This is the FIGHT BUSINESS...w/ANY Business Transaction, Personal Feelings Should B REMOVED from the Equation...A Prizefight is Also a BUSINESS TRANSACTION...Dude is the # 1 Contender, yet he's Perfectly Willing to BYPASS a Title Shot (& Potentially the HIGHEST Payday of his Career), if Bones Jones is the Champion???...

Makes U Wonder if Rashad would VACATE the Title, if He were Holding the Belt & Bones was the # 1 Contender...

Rampage vs. Dan Henderson was the BEST Instance of Friends Fighting, that REED Can Think Of...Henderson Said, "As Much Me & Quinton LIKE Each Other, we have NO PROBLEMS Punching Each Other in the Face."...The Bottom Line is, if the Friendship is GENUINE, Winning or Losing a Fight WON'T Impact it in the Least...

Rashad Should B ASHAMED of Himself...
