Actually, Golden Boy is working on getting some nonsense title at stake. Yet another version of the WBA title (which means the winner would be somewhat of a mandatory for Khan, or Bradley-Khan winner), or the WBC silver belt. The promotion will undoubtedly be built around the possibility of Morales becoming Mexico's first-ever four division champ.

At the very least, Morales remains one of the bravest fighters in at least our lifetime.

 

If more fighters spent their career being as stupid as Morales the sport would rock harder. VIVA MEXICO!

You are right. How could I doubt them? The WBA or/and WBC always find a way to involve a belt or two.

Brave and stupid. At least it will be short. I don´t see Morales getting out of the first three rounds.

The only explanation can be that G has offered Morales a lot of money for the fight, or that possibly, he has some sort of commitment from G that he'll get a fight with JMM. But if JMM has a falling out with G that couldn't be the case.

 

Wow. I'm a big El Terible fan, and for that reason, I hope that this fight either doesn't come off. Or if it does, that Erik at least gets knocked out quickly.

But I agree that if all fighters had balls like this, boxing would still be at the top of the sports food chain today.

could be, although the gap isn't as wide. That version of Tszyu is considerably better than Maidana, and Morales - while badly faded - isn't quite the dead man walking that Chavez was that at that point in his career.
