Only 2 weeks away. I'm looking forward to it! Ive seen clips of Acosta's win over Antillion, and based on them I'd have to say that theres a REAL possibility that Rios will lose this fight. Antillion is similar in style to Rios, only Bam Bam is more talented. Still, Acosta's uppercut could be trouble for Rios.

    Thoughts on this fight.

I was never impressed with Rios. He's very slow and hittable. He wont amount to anything special.

Bam Bam is also considerably stronger than Antillon.

IMO, this fight will come down to how well Rios can cut off the ring and force Acosta out of his element.

Acosta is faster and arguably the better boxer. I don't think his power will have as much of an impact in this fight as it did against Antillon, who is a very good fighter but whose chin is a bit of a liability.

Unless he is made to look like he's wearing cinder blocks on his feet, I really like Rios' chances in this one. By no means a rout, but I suspect that Acosta eventually gets caught with something big, ending the fight somewhere around rounds 8-10.

I see the fight going EXACTLY that way... just saying if Acosta did win it wouldnt be much of a shock.

I agree. Acosta is a solid fighter, and there is the chance that Rios has certain limitations that can be exposed in this fight.

Acosta doesn't have the power to trouble Bam Bam. Bam Bam will break him down to the body.

Bam Bam certainly does have limitations, I'm just not sure that anybody at 135 except for JMM is capable of fully exposing him. When he moves up 140, its gonna be a different story. I have a hard time seeing Rios being able to beat Con, Bradley, Maidana, or even Matthyse.
