Mindless, wild punches are always fun. I was glad to see there wasn't a single HW on the card that stalled or wanted to win via boring fashion.
Yes,you can't expect a man in his mid 30's to train like he did in his mid 20's ,its just unrealistic.Fedor is an old fighter and it was something I hinted at sometime last year. Its happened to all great fighters and its happened to another one tonight.
All I know is I hope Mob 1 goes under so Vadim stays the fuck away from Fedor's little bro after he gets done with compulsory military service.
So, 30 fights beating every style known to man, and then suddenly, at the twilight of his career, clearly past his best he loses and it's all because he didn't trained in BJJ? You're beyond stupid. You're an abortion attempt.
So when you were in school and there was a fight, while everyone watched, you were off in the back ignoring it, not caring to see? I somehow doubt that. Mindless punching is fun. Someone is getting knocked out.
I'd like to know who was throwing mindless punch??? Certainly not AA or kharitonov, who were both fighting very technically. Maybe Fedor, but even then, he was flurryng strategically
Like anything that creates noise my eyes would be drawn towards it, but a street fight isn't fun to watch for me, no.
All Combat Sambo players are horryfying positionally. Fedor obviously could get around it, but he cost him big time recently. Furthermore, even in his prime he was absolutely and utterly dominated by Ricardo Arona. The only thing he had to offer was again, the occasional long-shot sub attempt and it actually got him a BS decision because of retarded scoring. BJJ > Sambo Not sure how this is stupid, this is like saying someone is stupid because Silva doesn't train wrestling if he were to lose to GSP/Sonnen. Grow the fuck up.
I've actually seen Combat Sambo competitions, and the dudes do very little positional grappling. It's more or less trip takedown then sub attempt then restart on the feet. Why the hell would somehow think that's a replacement for pure BJJ? Silva passed to mount so easily it made Fedor look amateurish.
BJJis > Sambo. You are right about that. But it kinda stops there. You are always bringing up the Arona fight. We know. We know. We know. But really TLC, 10 yrs of dominance and all you can do is criticize? What the fuck does it take to impress you? If you ever trained, even light sparring in any discipline, you would have mad respect for any fighter - world class or regional. This is a brutal game. And its really easy to sit back and pinpoint flaws without having had a hand in attempting the sport yourself. I have 2 of my 4 kids that are black belt in TKD and trust me they had to work their asses off both in the academy AND in competitions. And even the best kids have bad days. Same for pro fighters. Quit being such a fucking hater, dude. For somebody who watches the sport as much as you, try some FUCKING RESPECT on for size.
Who says I'm hating? Is that really how it comes off? I was disappointed about Fedor's sentiments regarding BJJ following the Werdum fight. He's was a great fighter, but anytime a fighter can't recognize his own weaknesses is bad thing.
That's how you come off as sounding about Fedor the whole thing you've been here. That's not an exaggeration or insult; it's the truth.
Are you fucking kidding me?? Calling the greatest MMA fighter ever a fraud? How do you think that it would come off?? The dude put everything in the sport for over a decade and asked for nothing in return. This is why everyone on this boas has a problem with you. You couldn't pick a more undeserving guy to criticize.
I didn't call him a fraud in this topic now did I? I said he should've been training BJJ, instead of solely relying on Sambo experience. Every fighter needs to cross-train, period.
Who gives a shit about this thread?? You have built your whole FB persona as a troll by hating on him and calling him a Fraud. Idiot. And funny you criticize his training yet it worked pretty well for him keeping him basically unbeaten during his prime and the greatest ever.
The three best out of four BJJ fighters Fedor ever fought, he lost to. Something to put into perspective. Anderson's biggest weakness is supposedly his wrestling, but he's beaten the 4 best wrestlers hes fought (Sonnen, Sakurai, Hendo, Newton) He was subbed twice in his career before his prime, since he got his black belt in BJJ he's easily beaten two of the best BJJ fighters in the sports, Maia and Leites, and even subbed another black belt, Lutter. Anderson is the greatest fighter to ever fight. :hammert:
I am not going to engage in this argument because it will end up criticizing Silvas career. I respect him too much as a fighter and recognize him is a great fighter. Something you should take note of. You can say all you want, but I doubt you change any opinions.
You have got to be kidding? Right?? FIGHTER implies all fields of fighting. I wonder what Stevedave has to say about this. :TLC:
