What are the chances of Pac knocking out Mosley?

    That's not being a gentleman, that's being a bitch.

    Agreed on both counts.

I don't expect Shane to see the final bell. It won't be via KTFO for sure, but it will be a sad, one-sided beatdown en route to a TKO.

    couple things here...

First if shane lands a big shot I think Manny's more than capable of staying away to not get hit with a follow-up shot. Doubt he runs to the ropes and covers up.

Secondly, shane is fast when he throws one off shots...he's not very accurate or active these days.

There's not going to be a knock-out in this one, more of a beatdown through 12 or with the ref stopping the fight in the latter stages.

If it goes to late rounds, PAC will carry Shane rather than try to flatten him. There's a good chance the Ref stops this one. Prime Shane would go all 12 and it'd be a great fight but Shane is a long way from that form.

i think a prime shane beats pacquiao down.

You talking lightweight Shane? I'd favor Mosley as well.

This is a hard one to call. If Shane is behind, he might elect to just survive the fight. The problem is that Pac's footwork might not allow Shane to do this. Shane was Exausted against Floyd and i think that Pac would tire him out even more. So for that reason, i think the ref stops the fight from too much punishment.

I HOpE Shane stretches him though

I don't see Mosley going to the canvas in this one. I guess there's a possibilty he gets stopped if he tires badly down the stretch, but that wouldn't be my predcition.

I think Mosley's actually more live in this one than he was against Mayweather, which I really didn't give him much of a shot to win rounds.

I think the first few rounds of this fight will likely be more competitive than the Mayweather fight and I also don't think Mosley will get as offensively-discouraged in this one as he was against Mayweather.

Should be a better fight, I am interested to see if he can land something early on Pacquiao and how Pacquiao responds when/if that happens.

If pac takes this fight lightly, which could very be a posiblity, seeing as how Mosley looked terrible against Mayweather. Shane could very well catch Pac with something he doesnt expect. I would love to see that more than anything. I want pac to win, but i wouldnt mind seeing him taste the canvas again and fight his way back into the fight. I just want this to be a good fight. Not a one-sided beat down. I doubt it will be though. This fight shouldnt even be taking place.

I don't see that at all.

In fact, I don't know, something about the way this fight is being discussed seems like just a little too much group think.

This fight is still at 147, and not lower, right?

Pac has accomplished and continues to accomplish countless things that people gave him very small chances at. My head says little chance of a KO happening, but because it's Pac, and he manages insane shit, he'll KO Mosely.

Will the hit and clinch strategy work against Pacquiao?

I think his footwork is too good for that.

  17. If Shane somehow wins, it enhances Floyd's legacy. :kidcool:

Wont happen though. Pac by beatdown of humiliation proportions...

Dont know why but I have a feeling that Mosley maybe able to seriously hurt Pacman with one of them hard right hands to the chin.

If can land it he sure could hurt Manny.

  20. He could, but not badly enough to finish him off, IMO.

It would take body shots to stop Pac, not headshots. Shane certainly has the power in his body shots to do it, but that's his only shot.

Agreed. He'll have to execute an attack and clinch type fight plan. The one advantage he has over Manny is physical strength. If he can get inside and muscle he could provide a long night for Pac.

Easier said than done of course. I think Pacquiao's footwork is too good for that.

  22. Agreed on all counts

More than Mosley landing a perfect shot that gets Pacquiao off guard I'm more concerned about all the clean punches Manny will land from the beginning. Shane's defense is bad and the reflexes sure ain't getting better.

This is why I wish Jack Mosley was training Shane for this fight. Jack is the only one in the world who would put a stop to this fight if Shane were taking too much punishment (and that includes Shane himself). And believe me the time will come when Jim Lampley and the other commentators are saying someone needs to stop this fight. Shane will probably need RJJ's head doctor after this one.

Just for the record I'd smash Jin as well. I'd beat that pussy to death. Anyways like many have stated I think that if SSM is going to get stopped it will be by the corner and or the ref. I'll Holla 5000

I don't think Richardson would let it go more than it has to.

this is not Margarito's corner where they'll wait for Shane to die in the ring.

Shane is an old man and as much heart as he has I think Richardson will throw in the towell. he'lls definitely have the towell ready. lol!

Salient point, V. Even when his reflexes were hot-shit (the better part of a full decade ago, BTW), he always took his share of punishment. Now? Well, we saw how brutalised he was against the much less damaging Mayweather. Man was running on fumes.

Pacquiao will beat the life out of him & may, in fact, become the first man ever to beat Mosley inside the distance. I'd be flat-out shocked if he levelled Mosley for the count (he seems less likely and less intent on this sort of victory at these higher weights), & Mosley is famously durable.

Either Pacquiao wins it wide on the cards, or forces somebody's hand for the stoppage.

I predict that after Pac stops Mosley, Pac huggers will be retarded enough to claim it as a worthy accomplishment because Manny knocked out Shane & Floyd didn't.
