Not a classic in the least bit but the way Floyd completely neutralized Juan's offense and outskilled him was magnificent to watch IMO. Nobody has ever come close to doing it.

 

Margarito-Cotto was my favorite, great fight.

How about adding classic fights not fights they've replayed incessantly the last year.

 

Well then people with patience would stop subscribing and just wait for fights to come out on Youtube. ::

I assume these are up as replays before ppvs...just as they replay fights on HBO/2 before pay per views, they have perhaps now started putting up Youtube fights involving ppv fighters.

Pac-Cotto and Marg-Cotto were put up November 09, 2010, before Pac-Marg.

Mayweather-Marquez was put April 27, 2010, before Mayweather-Mosley.

Perhaps Morales and Maidana fights will be next...maybe Guerrero, Katsidis and Wright fights as well.

 

Not a bad idea for HBO to release Pac-Cotto and Margarito-Cotto a month before Showtime is trying to promote Cotto-Mayorga. Between that and already counterprogramming the PPV, not a bad 1-2 punch

Ah, never mind... should've read MK's last post before believing this to be the case.

 

I'm talking about classic HBO fights...say from the 80's or 90's. All they've done is put fights on YouTube they'd run on HBO as the lead up to fights involving guys about to be on PPV. Enough already.

 

HBO is not really interested in giving us what we want, none of them are. There should be a massive review of the current system, by HBO, in order to offer tailor-made PPV options to the fans. They should have full online subscription services with basic, moderate and premium options, ranging from an account which lets you watch a fight 2 days after it happens, to watcing it live on the internet, recording it online, etc. They need to get their act together- the technology is there. Better to be getting $5 a month from a fan than nothing at all.

 

I rather see HBO put up some CLASSICS from the 80's and 90's.....

Yeah, it'd be great if some of those classic were on dvd and could check them out on Netflix like most of what HBO puts on.

Or at least put out some highlight dvd's like Tuesday Night Fights did.

 

The presenter would be like "Hello, I'm Jim Lampley" and I would be like "Uhh....no you ain't"

Mayweather can do that, which is why I'm not completely onboard the Pacquiao will make Mosley look like Margarito train.

 

Pac has different tools than Floyd, but those tools are still more than capable of getting the job done against Mosley (and by "getting the job done," I mean "destroying").

I would love to be wrong and see Shane put Pac on his ass, though. It'd serve him right for going after Floyd's leftovers AGAIN.

 

HBO has some of the 2010 Boxing's Best fights up on HBO.com...they are full screen quality.
