Bam Bam challenges for a title on Sat against the very dangerous Miguel Acosta. Whats the final word on this one? Should be an exciting fight. Rios comes forward and is heavy handed, Acosta counters and has power.
Im expecting Acosta to have success early but Rios to break him down late. Acosta doesn't like to fight inside at all and against Rios he will have to at some point.
:dunno:Why do I feel like we did this already? I swear I've said before, but since it's a new thread: The fight will come down to whether or not Rios can cut off the ring, as Acosta will use every inch of it. If Rios is unsuccessful, then Acosta boxes circles around him and scores either a wide decision or possibly even a late, exhaustion-induced stoppage. If Rios finds a way to successfully impose his will, Acosta doesn't stand a chance and the fight doesn't see the championship rounds. My play money is on the latter. Rios in 8 or 9 rounds.
Everybody knew that stylewise Bradley-Alexander was gonna be hit or miss. It missed. Stylewise its kinda hard to imagine Rios-Acosta not being a good fight. Rios will of course bring it, and I suspect that Acosta is too proud to fight like a bitch.
That seems to be everyone's fear - that Acosta turns it into a track meet, and goes jab and grab anytime Rios is within punching distance. The fear seems to stem from how he beat Antillon, who is similar to Rios in style. However, Rios has a much better chin and will have a huge natural-weight fight advantage over Acosta. I know in-ring weight doesn't always mean a lot, but it comes into play for Rios since a big part of his game is physically overwhelming his opponents.
