There were four non-premium cable fights cards on television this week. These were the results of the main events: Fox Sports Net Jesse Vargas (14-0) UD 8 (79-73, 78-74, 77-75) Cristian Favela (28-32-7; 1-6-1 last 8 fights) ESPN Juan Carlos Burgos (25-1) TKO 2 W Frankie Archuleta (27-7-1) Telefutura Danny Garcia (19-0) TKO 2 John Figueroa (7-8-3; 1-7 last 8 fights) Telemundo Jesus Pabon (16-1) TKO 1 Americo Santos (26-4-1, last fight 2007, lost TKO 1) That is one pathetic week of boxing. At least next week should be better, as Ismayl Sillakh-Yordanis Despaigne is (as of now) still scheduled for ESPN2 and Telefutura will have a decent main event Vicente Escobedo-Walter Estrada.
Some of the fights you can pay for: March 5th Zab Judah-Kaizer Mabuza $30 March 11th Tye Fields-Michael Grant $25 March 12th Miguel Cotto-Ricardo Mayorga $50 April 9th Tomasz Adamek-Kevin McBride $30 Erik Morales-Marcos Maidana is $45
definitely ordering the morales-maidana card although it's gonna suck seeing morales and wright potentially lose.
wright strikes me as a guy whos taken too many punches and should quit. he was at the house of blues here thursday
was he remotely in shape? he looks like he goes up to 190s in between fights especially as he got older.
