Its basically a pick em.... but gun to my head I'd go with the faster starter and bigger puncher.... JJ.

I don't see how this is a pick em, Tito was a slow starter & I see the Hawk flattening him early.

Trinidad is a dangerous guy to trade punches with and has a history of getting even better when coming off the canvas.

I just cannot shake an image in my head of Trinidad losing this one, even though I know he'd be more than live.

Trinidad wouldn't get off the canvas here.

Yep. There is a big difference between getting dropped by Jackson and getting dropped by Carr, Campas or even Vargas. Jackson was a significantly bigger puncher than anyone Tito fought at 154 or 147. And when he hurt people, they usually stayed hurt.

I think it could go either way, but if Tito has a slow start and Jackson gets to him early, it's probably a really short fight.

Tito has the better chin and the better left hook.

    He wins by KO.

Tito at 154 wasn't that much of a slow starter.

But be that as it may be, the notion of Jackson getting him early is not ridiculous.

Both guys hit that hard. Its basically one of those fights where whomever lands first wins.

P4P I think Trinidad is the better fighter, but with the way Julian hits and Tito's average defense, JJ would have to be favored.

This fight ends in a knockout. Basically whoever lands the first big shot wins.

I dont really see how their chins are all that different... both guys could be hurt, especially early in fights, but they were pretty similar

Jackson was stopped rather controversially against McCallum... I think McCallum WOULD HAVE eventually won anyway, but the stoppage was questionable at least, Jackson was on his feet trying to fight back... outside of that, Jackson doesnt have a KO loss until near the end of his career when he was basically finished anyway

Trinidad's left hook was awesome, but Jackson's right hand was harder... I'd venture that there has never been a harder punch, p4p, in the history of the sport than Jackson's right hand... it was unreal

Tito had better recovery though...stopping Tito was a lot harder than stopping Jackson. Tito just got dropped, not KO'd.

Jackson may have had a good right hand, but Tito wasn't particularly susceptible to them. Tito lost to guys who could jab.

EDIT: You think Jackson was shot when G-Mac got to him?

some truth to that (the first part), I agree... Tito was able to get his wits back pretty convincingly after being dropped... but I look at guys who did hurt him early on in fights... they were guys who weren't jabbing and moving, they were guys who were taking it to Trinidad, trying to fire with him... and pretty much all of them hurt him with right hands, so he IS suceptible to them when exchanging... come to think of it, I would venture to say that virtually every knockdown he ever suffered came off of a right handed punch

he wouldn't have to find Jackson, because Julian would engage him... if he gets a Jackson right hand, it would be a lot harder than any of the shots he ever took from anyone else and much more would be demanded of his recuperative capacities

True, but what if Tito landed his left hook before that? Really the same theory could be applied.
