Sonnen's Letter to Joe Silva---He wants Bisping

Damn, I just can't help but like this guy. Now I completely want to see him maul Bisping for 3 rounds. Or better yet, maybe it can be a non title 5 rounder.

 

Bisping's got Belfort.

 

Don't be so sure.

First, I am curious if Bisping gets any suspension time due to spitting on Rivera's team.

Second, Dana won't let Sonnen's ability to sell a fight go to waste. Bisping-Sonnen would be far more popular than Belfort in my opinion.

Either way I get to see Bisping notched.

 

Funny letter but you can never have confidence that Sonnen can beat anybody.

 

Sonnen's thrash talking skills are nothing without the steroids.

It was 1 fight man. Its not like Silva has never looked like shit before on a given night. Have you seen Sonnens record? He lost to Terry Martin for Gods sake!

 

Could an all natural Sonnen do that? That remains to be seen.

Sonnen was taking testosterone shots, not steroids.


And yeah...he'd kill Bisping.

 

Dry humping a guy for 4 rounds then getting subbed means you still suck.

 

Cheating isn't taken seriously enough. 2 year minimum bans and perhaps longer on first offenses.
Up to lifetime bans on 2nd offenses.

and? It's not an advantage to have 4-6 times the normal level of testosterone?

Testosterone replacement is a legit treatment, and Sonnen can do it all he wants. He still has to test within the limits of a normal fucking human though.

 

It doesn't really matter. He'd crush Bisping.

 

I'm not so sure he would. He's lost to worse fighters.

 

Sakuraba fought a ton of guys wayyyy too big for him.

Sonnen just gets subbed by average guys.

 

Yeah. Fighters get better dude.

In the last three years Sonnen has really put it together, he always had the credentials. athleticism and skills for it but he's gotten a lot more disciplined and really puts it together in the cage.

In the last 3 years he's lost only to Maia and Silva by sub. Bisping doesn't even have a black belt, let alone top tier submission skills like those two.

You really think Bisping would even have any semblance of a chance of beating a guy who's better than him at everything?

The likes of Nate Marquardt and Yushin Okami, a class above Bisping were dominated by Chael.

Chael would probably stop Bisping if not just dominate him for 15 minutes.

Also....everyone that has legitimately bested him is better than Bisping.

 

Good matchup. I hope it happens.

 

I couldn't have said it any better. Bisping doesn't have the takedown defense to stop Sonnen. He doesn't have the BJJ to be a threat to Sonnen from the guard. Bisping has a style almost made up specifically for Sonnen to look good against. Sonnen stops Bisping in the third. And the whole fight is a dominating beatdown.

 

Sonnen's also has a cast-iron chin and pretty decent boxing technique. Bisping couldn't even get lucky before the inevitable power double.

I'm with you on this one. I think a guy like Josh Barnett should never be allowed to fight again.

But that's just me.

 

He better learn to control is right then, cause he in not allowed to test higher than the normal level.

 

I don't know why people even like Sonnen. The dude is THE epitome of a boring wrestler. he is a one trick pony of the worst kind.
