Vernon has some good power that would definitely keep Terry very wary and aware at all times. Its a matter of Norris getting into his groove and staying focused so he doesn't get caught early. I think Terry stops him late or wins a clear UD based on a big hand speed advantage and better combination punching. And also, Terry can match Forrest jab for jab and one up him there. Terry wins in impressive fashion IMO.
"The jab stops speed." Vernon Forrest The Forrest who beat Mosley the 1st time KO's Terry. Watch that fight again, Forrest's punches had so much zip on them, he had to be at his absolute peak that night.
Norris & Mosley had different styles. Terry was alot harder to outbox than Shane, and was better technically skilled.
Yep. Plus Forrest often needs to plant his feet and set up his right hand with the jab. As puerto rock mentioned Norris could match Vernon jab for jab and had much better footwork.
Pay no attention to Double when it comes to Norris. He once said that Norris was no better than Terron Millet.
This is all good and all but I still think the Forrest who fought Shane that night would have beaten Norris. With the power he was throwing with, he would have eventually caught Norris with a KO punch or like Shane something that would have had him on queer street the whole fight.
Norris would overwhelm Forrest with his speedy combination punching enabling him to register a TKO victory
but as a wleterweight, he would be right up Norris's alley plus, he's dead as a doornail, which makes him an exemplary Norris opponent
