Norris could outbox the 87 Hagler for awhile. Eventually however Hagler is gonna catch him and hurt him, and when that happens Norris isnt as crafty, intelligent, or as durable as Leonard. Hagler KO 8-9. The early-to-mid 80's Hagler takes Norris out in 5 TOPS. Probably sooner.
I'm thinking that Hagler gets to him eventually, but it takes 8-10 rounds to do so. Before that happens I have Norris ahead on the cards. Hagler was slower in 1987 and he had lost a great deal of snap in his punches, IMO. Norris would give him a tough argument for a while until the eventual stoppage.
Dude Simon Brown was TOTALLY SHOT and stopped Terry Norris inside 4 rounds Hagler EASILY stops Norris FUCKING EASY
This. Hagler wasn't a faded welter moving up to 154 or some mediocre fighter in that weight class. Hagler would destroy Norris.
This is what Brown was, not totally shot. CDogg - stop it, just stop it :: I'm not going to reply to the thread question since I can't believe that serious responses are being solicited. But not every fighter in history knocks down Norris with a jab.
Cdogg is another great poster, but he talks out his ass when it comes to Norris. The 87 Hagler would not blow away prime Norris. Terry had enough physical tools, and skills to remain competitive with a faded Hagler, before eventually being worn down.
Assuming that King couldn't get options on him, I'm sure a couple of hookers would've found their way to Hagler's hotel room the night before the fight. Hell, push the fight back 5-6 months on Tyson-Berbick card as a double bill, and he can use the same girls that fell in love with Berbick for just one night.
NO WAY Norris never fought a middleweight in his life, he never fought a fighter within 100 million miles of Marvin Hagler, even the 87 version he gets FUCKING KILLED
he was VERY VERY faded lets put it that way:giggle: at any rate, a fighter who loses like that to a fighter like Brown in Brown's then condition does nothing except get killed by Marvin Hagler, even 1987 Hagler
