Miguel Cotto v. Ricardo Mayorga: The break down!

Unless Pac wants to come back down in weight I don't especially wanna see a Pac-Marquez rubber match. Nobody gains from it.

I'm no Hopkins fan (used to be but grew sick of him) but his one-line shut down of Antonio Tarver is one of my favorite press conference moments of all time. After Tarver rambled on and on... and on and on... and on and on... Hopkins steps in for his turn to speak and simply offers, "I used to see guys like Tarver get fucked in the ass in D-Block."

Anyway, I want Mayorga to retire Cotto. Very unlikely this happens given Mayo's lack of heart but I would live to see the upset knockout.

Anybody watching the live undercard on toprank.com. There must be 200 people there max in the crowd at the moment.

 

There is 27 minutes until the 1st fight of the PPV. The arena is 90% empty at best, that doesn't look good.

 

Somebody wrote a preview about the fight and he made a good point, about Cotto being caught and hurt by wide punches he didn´t see coming. If anything Mayorga still has his fast hands, that allow him to land his wide shots from weird angles. Maybe there wil be some rough moments early, a shot to the temple Cotto doesn´t see.

But I´ll watch Martinez/Dzinziruk anyway if it comes to that.

Zappa vs Vasquez is up first. This is the only fight im really interested in.

 

He should but promoters prefer casino money over work.

 

Zappa is getting closer and closer with his right hand. I think he will win on points if not by TKO.

Vasquez is doing nothing to win the fight. Zappa is making the fight and landing all the effective punches so far.

 

Vasquez had a good 5th round but his style is ugly.
