ON!!!! Haye vs. Wladimir

I hope Haye fucking thrashes Klitschko. I predict Wlad to win in dominant fashion, however. Similar to Irish's post above.... i think Haye will be competitive and exciting early but Wlad will take over and dominate the fight after the early stages.

 

I predict that Wlad trounces Haye in one sided fashion. This Haye hype has been sickening.

 

Why? Haye has never tried to make fights, never tried to establish himself in any traditional fashion, never gone to America. Plus he is threatening to retire next Fall. If he wins, we lose.

Wlad has to win, Must win, must win in style. He has the tools. I think God put David Haye on this Earth so that his minions could see what a quadruple-hook-right hand combo looks like.

I root for England, mate. No two ways about it. I like Haye, I love him for KO'ing Ruiz and I think he is more exciting than Wladimir.

Not going to get into a huge debate with you but I feel that we also lose when both the Klitschko's are reigning on top of the division at the same time. never a good dynamic when the clear #1 and #2 fighters in the division will never face each other. I don't know how much longer either Klit has to reign anyway, so no matter who wins they won't be around much longer.

No no mate you are missing the point. He wears a half-a-Union Jack on his pants. I was basically saying that the St Andrews flag is a constituent of the flag itself, that it was a "half-a-flag", if you see my point.

I don't agree with blanket nationalistic sentiment. I think Andy Lee is another David Haye, a half-decent pretty boy who is more bark than he is bite, who likes to keep himself relevant and in the public eye, but has very little to show for it, especially in comparison to the sheer saturation of coverage he generates.

Same with Bernard Dunne. I think I was calling Bernard Dunne from as early as 2005.

I don't allow simple nationalist tendencies to blind me to inferior, gobby fighters who are train-wrecks waiting to happen.

Fair enough. Maybe it's a character flaw - but I root for England and the English. I told you a while back I would root for Haye or Chisora over Wladimir for that reason, but to be honest I would cheer for Wlad over anyone else in the division.

I think you read too much into it... I don't think Haye reads that much into it. He's English, born in London, roots for Millwall, wears the flags of the countries he represents on his trunks and that's about it. I'll root for him because I like him, if he loses I won't be devastated, nor will I lose any sleep - but for the purposes of a boxing message board I'm gonna post that i hope Haye thrashes him!!
