Well, for those not inspired to buy the Mayorga-Cotto PPV, here is a decent free alternative on MTV 2: Bellator LW Tournament: Lightweight Quarterfinal bout: Rob McCullough vs. Patricky Freire Lightweight Quarterfinal bout: Carey Vanier vs. Lloyd Woodard Lightweight Quarterfinal bout: Michael Chandler vs. Marcin Held Lightweight Quarterfinal bout: Toby Imada vs. Josh Shockley Imada who is fighting in his 3rd Bellator tournament, was supposed to face Judo Olympian, Ferrid Kheder, but for some reason Kheder refused to weigh in and was replaced by Shockley who was scheduled to fight on the undercard. I hope Held does good win or lose. He's a really great kid. I call him the Polish Matt Damon because he reminds me of him but he is very humble and intelligent for somebody who just turned 19 two months ago. Good luck bro. He's got some very very good grappling skills.
Mike Chandler is going to eat him alive. Still Held is worth some coin at his odds because we never really know how much BJJ the wrestlers are doing, especially against leglocks.
I like Patricky Friere too. Big underdog surprisingly. Fantastic on the mat. McCullough has the ability to dominate on the feet, but I don't think it comes to that.
I feel bad for Marcin Held he's a great guy. I'm sure he will be back he just turned 19 for Pete's sake.
His brother impressed me last year despite getting beat. But man, Big Pitbull seems like the sky is the limit. His stand up is good and obviously he's an animal on the mat. Do you see him winning this?
Fuck no. He has the same syndrome as his little brother. Poor mental fighters, extremely questionable cardio, gameplanning. Jesus.....in the back of my mind I'm thinking "Please finish this choke, please finish this choke......no, he's not his brother. He won't give away the fight". And of course, he's just like his brother. To be honest I think Imada or Chandler will win it, but leaning toward Imada.
LOL... I was think the same freaking thing in the second. Is it really cardio or do these guys just not have a killer instinct or what? Chandler looks like he could be very solid. I've never seen Woodard before but he handled Vanier with shocking ease. I guess there are some miracles that even Greg Jackson can't work.
