Arlington Road

One of my fav movies. Thoughts on this classic.

 

When I first saw it, I liked the performances but not the movie itself. Well, I take that back - I liked it but hated the ending and that has always jaded my view of it

I've come to appreciate it as a modern classic. I think the other problem I had was seeing this right after The Big Lebowski - took a while to take Jeff Bridges seriously

 

Point taken. I didnt see The Big Lebowski until about 5 years ago.

 

IMO The Usual Suspects is the best ending of all time to any movie. The ending to Arlington Road was right up there as one of my favourites of all time. i haven't seen this since it came out in the theaters... i think it is time for a re-watch.

 

My fav all time ending is The Mist.

 

oh dude. that is cold! i think i had to watch cartoons for an hour to get me in a happy mood again after that ending

 

Guess the name of this thread should have been cool movie endings hunh?

Another really good one was The Skeleton Key and The Others.

 

I think the ending to Inception has to rank amongst the all time best.

 

Not when it's predictable as all fuck.
