Good point on Morales, and especially if (pray for miracle) he beats Maidana.

Wright was one of my favorites, but it's impossible to consider him active. His last fight was two years ago and all he's done since then is pull out of fights.

These muffugas are all out for blood !

Funny how 2 years ago Pavlik was topping everyone's list, now he's dropped off the list completely and this Martinez guy has suddenly showed up in his place.

Casamayor was a grub. It was the highlight of 2008 when Marquez completely mooted the scrap of relevancy Casamayor was clinging to.

Hardly surprising. An entertaining Casamayor fight rolled around about as often as a blue moon. Marquez rescued us from ever having to see him again.

Sticking to relevant guys in or close to their primes only

    Mayweather Jr
    Nonito
    Cotto
    JMM
    Khan

The one guy whose fights I will never miss is Floyd Jr. I don't care what you think of him as a person, he is a rare fighter & in the squared circle he's truly something special to watch.

My favorites to watch are often the best fighters. In that regard, Pacquiao, Mayweather and Donaire top my list right now.

Having a tough time with the last two. I still really like Paul Williams. David Lemieux is very cool, too. The Marquez brothers. Love me some Gamboa.

I still like Pavlik but his pair of wins over Taylor was the last time he's done anything of note in the ring. He drank away his career and brought disgrace to his division with the scrubs he faced while holding the middleweight crown ransom for more than two years.

Martinez, OTOH, is a guy that brings class to the sport. His fights are generally entertaining and is a guy that everyone wants to see because of how he carries himself in and out of the ring.

I admit, he grew on me in the past couple of years and not all of it has to do with winning. He's just a class act. Put the two together and it's pretty easy to like the guy.

Tim Bradley and Nonito Donaire fall in the same category, as far as I'm concerned, although I've always been a Nonito fan.

Also, "this guy Martinez suddenly showing up in his place" might have a little something to do with the fact that he beat Pavlik.
