Martinez knocks out Fall Paul, and dusts Dzinziruk, and all of a sudden he beats Roy? *Ed Lover voice* c'monnn sonn.
Getting a litttttttttttle carried away with Maravilla. Roy would win fairly convincingly. Could potentially coast if he wasn't convinced he'd knock him out, but I don't see him having a lot of problems in this fight. No knock at all on Martinez, just don't think he's on that level... yet (though doubtful he has enough time to get to that point).
To be fair to Martinez, he's proven himself a world-class operator doubtless, & has done it on the back of consistently surprising many. Could he surprise us here? Truthfully, I doubt it. Jones looks to me on another level entirely.
It must be remembered that Roid was not in his prime @middle. 168 lbs Jones was possibly the best fighter ever but at middle he would have to work against Martinez. He wins, of course, and comfortably so, but Martinez wouldn't be outclassed
Come on... Martinez looks fast against guys like Pavlik and the guy he just fought. Roy's handspeed was ridiculous...almost like a video game. Roy would have Martinez afraid to jab.
Yup. And Martinez for all his handspeed, isnt all that hard to hit. I dont see how the hell he avoids Roy's lead right. I dont think Martinez sees the distance.
